White spots on hands

White spots on hands

If there are white spots on your hands, you should pay attention. We know that hands are in most frequent contact with the outside world, so fingers are prone to accidental injuries. When these accidental injuries are not taken seriously, some injuries may occur and white spots may appear. Generally speaking, it is related to the lack of trace elements in the body. Of course, you should be more alert to the possibility of vitiligo.

White spots on hands

White spots on the nails are mainly caused by a lack of trace elements. It is recommended to supplement calcium and be careful not to be picky eaters. In addition to eating meat, eggs, poultry, etc. that are rich in animal protein, you should eat more foods that are rich in fat and carbohydrates (i.e. starch, sugar, etc.), and you should also eat more soy products, vegetables, fruits, etc.

Trace elements play an important role in the body's metabolism. For example, copper, zinc and other elements are directly involved in the synthesis of melanocytes and protect melanocytes from damage by heavy metals. Once these elements are lacking, the synthesis of melanin will be affected, leading to skin decolorization and whitening, and the appearance of white spots. Self-factors: Some pathogenic factors can cause immune dysfunction in the body, leading to endocrine imbalance, producing anti-melanocyte antibodies, causing certain damage to melanocytes, resulting in their loss and disease.

Vitiligo is more likely

Gently pat or rub the white spots with your hands. If the white spots turn red, it is most likely vitiligo. If the white spots turn white and the surrounding skin turns red, it may be other white spot diseases, such as anemic nevus. Vitiligo patients can be preliminarily diagnosed based on the symptoms of vitiligo.

In the early stages of vitiligo, the white spots are small, about the size of a coin or an oval, and are relatively light in color, pale white or milky white. As the disease progresses, the area of the white spots gradually increases and the color gradually deepens, becoming cloud white or even porcelain white, but the surface of the white spots is smooth and has no scales, and is painless and itchy.
