What's the matter with hiccups and chest pain

Although hiccups are common, some hiccups can cause body pain, and chest pain is a typical example. There are many reasons for hiccups. Hiccups are mainly a manifestation of indigestion, but may also be caused by gastritis or liver and gallbladder problems. Many people are particularly worried about this, fearing that something might be wrong with their health. We need to fully understand the causes of hiccups and chest pain so that we can take correct measures to deal with them in a timely manner.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, hiccups are caused by the upward flow of stomach qi. In traditional Chinese medicine, the liver is responsible for relaxation and release. Bad mood has a lot to do with the liver, because anger hurts the liver. In addition, bad mood hurts the liver, causing liver qi stagnation and then affecting the stomach, causing hiccups. In traditional Chinese medicine, people are a whole, and people, nature, and emotions are closely related.

If the liver function is slightly damaged, the increase in bilirubin may be a manifestation of jaundice. Generally, the increase in direct bilirubin and total bilirubin may be a manifestation of hemolytic jaundice. The treatment of this disease must clear away heat, detoxify, promote dampness and reduce jaundice. The increase in bilirubin may be caused by favism or other reasons. Active treatment is required, otherwise it may damage the liver function.

Gastritis is related to cold, improper diet, excessive gastric acid, etc. It can be treated with Sanjiu Weitai or Qizhi Weitong Granules. If necessary, a gastroscopy should be performed. Drink plenty of water, eat light meals, chew slowly, etc.

Chronic superficial gastritis belongs to epigastric pain, liver-stomach disharmony, and food stagnation in the stomach in traditional Chinese medicine. The main clinical manifestations are upper abdominal distension and pain, nausea, vomiting, belching, acid reflux and other symptoms. Most of the pain is caused by emotional discomfort, liver qi stagnation, liver failure to release, liver qi invading the stomach, and qi stagnation.
