Headache powder ingredients

The main ingredients in headache powder: aspirin, acetaminophen, etc. Common gastrointestinal reactions include nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal discomfort or pain. Less common events include allergic skin reactions, bronchial asthma, and reversible liver damage. Frequent use can lead to addiction

Contraindications

1. Cross allergic reaction. Allergic reactions to this product may also result from allergies to another salicylate or another non-salicylate NSAID. But it is not absolute, and we must be alert to the possibility of cross-allergy.

2. It should be used with caution in patients with gout, impaired liver and kidney function, heart failure or hypertension, nose bleeding, thrombocytopenia, menorrhagia, etc., as well as those with a history of hemolytic anemia.

3. Do not take other anti-cold medicines containing similar ingredients to this product at the same time to prevent increased toxicity.

4. Do not drink alcohol while taking this product.

Drug interactions

1. This product should not be taken with alcoholic beverages, barbiturates (such as phenobarbital), and antispasmodics (such as belladonna) because they may cause liver damage.

2. When this product is used in combination with the antiviral drug Zidovudine, the two drugs can reduce each other's binding with glucuronic acid and reduce the clearance rate, thereby increasing their toxicity, so their simultaneous use should be avoided.

3. This product should not be used with anticoagulants (such as dicoumarol, heparin), thrombolytics and corticosteroids.

4. Antacids such as sodium bicarbonate can increase the excretion of aspirin in urine and reduce the blood concentration of the drug, so they should not be used together.

5. This product can enhance the effects of oral hypoglycemic drugs and methotrexate and should not be used together.

6. Isoniazid and meprobamate can enhance the efficacy of caffeine in this product, increasing the concentration of caffeine in brain tissue by 55%, while the concentration in liver and kidney decreases.

7. Oral contraceptives may slow the elimination of caffeine.

8. Glucocorticoids (hormones for short) can increase the excretion of salicylates. In order to maintain the blood concentration of this product when used at the same time, the dosage of this product should be increased if necessary. Long-term use of this product with hormones, especially in large quantities, increases the risk of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. For this reason, it is not recommended to use these two drugs simultaneously in clinical practice.

9. The uric acid excretion effect of probenecid or sulfinpyrazone may be reduced by the simultaneous use of this product; when the blood concentration of salicylate is >50μg/ml, it is significantly reduced, and even more so when it is >100-150μg/ml. In addition, probenecid can reduce the clearance of salicylates from the kidneys, thereby increasing the latter's blood concentration.
