Can myopia be reduced?

People’s vision problems bother many people in modern life, because poor vision will greatly damage people’s basic sensory abilities and seriously affect people’s lives. Among them, myopia is a symptom with a very big impact. It causes blurred vision and so on, which greatly restricts people in their work and study. Let’s take a look at whether the degree of myopia can be reduced?

Myopia refers to the situation where parallel light rays focus in front of the retina after passing through the eye's refractive system when the accommodation is relaxed. Myopia is also called short-sightedness because this type of eye can only see close but not far.

Generally speaking, there is no good treatment for myopia. Many people will wear glasses to correct their vision after they become myopic. Many people even resort to surgery to treat myopia.

1. Stand somewhere, find a tree that is relatively far away and a tree that is relatively close, then observe the close tree for a while, and then observe the distant tree for a while. This method can regulate the eye muscles and relax them. When observing, try to see as many details of the tree as possible.

2. Rub your palms together to warm them up, then cover your eyes with them, repeating this process. This also relaxes the eyes and is very comfortable. This action can be done repeatedly at any time.

3. Sunbathing: When the weather is clear, close your eyes, face the sun, let the light pass through your eyelids and stimulate the retinal cells. We nearsighted people are very sensitive to light, and will squint or look sideways when we encounter strong light. This can improve our eyes' ability to accept light.

4. Count the stars in the sky at night and use your eyes to find the stars, but do not stare at one star, as this will cause eyestrain.

5. Sit or stand, look straight ahead first, then move your eyes up, down, left and right, allowing your eyeballs to stretch in each direction as far as possible, staying in each direction for a few minutes. When we become nearsighted, our eyes become deformed. This method can help our eyes adjust to their normal shape. It also helps restore the eye's focusing ability.
