① Workers who are exposed to aromatics for a long time, such as dyes, leather, rubber, and painters, may have a higher incidence of bladder tumors. It has been calculated that the incidence rate among workers exposed to aniline is 30 times higher than that of the general population. Benzidine, 4,4-diaminobisphenyl, 4-aminobisphenyl, etc. are all considered to be relatively certain foreign chemical carcinogens. After these substances enter the body, they are metabolized by the liver and excreted into the bladder with urine, and then decomposed into α-aminonaphthoic acid by glucuronidase, making it carcinogenic and causing occupational bladder cancer. However, the incubation time of cancer is relatively long, up to about 20 years.

② Smoking is also a cause that increases the incidence of bladder tumors. Recent studies have shown that the metabolism of the carcinogenic substance tryptophan in smokers' urine increases by 50%. When smoking stops, tryptophan levels gradually return to normal. It has also been found that vitamin C can reduce the activity of tryptophan in both smokers and non-smokers.

③ Abnormal tryptophan metabolism in the body. Abnormal tryptophan metabolism can produce some metabolites, such as 3-hydroxy-2-aminoacetophenone and 3-hydroxy-o-aminobenzoic acid, which can directly affect the synthesis of RNA and DNA in cells. These metabolites are excreted into the bladder through the action of the liver and have carcinogenic effects after being acted on by glucuronidase. The concentration of these carcinogens in the urine of patients with bladder tumors is often significantly increased.

④ The local bladder mucosa is stimulated for a long time. For example, chronic infection and chronic stimulation of bladder stones can induce bladder tumors. Moreover, glandular cystitis and mucosal leukoplakia are considered to be precancerous lesions that can induce cancer.

The above are the causes of bladder cancer. In fact, this disease can be avoided. If everyone can actively prevent it, bladder cancer will not occur. In daily life, everyone should also pay more attention to their diet and not cause the disease due to their own neglect.
