The coughing gets worse at night

There is a high probability of coughing after a cold, and the cough will last for a while, and it is not easy to recover. Because coughing attacks do not occur all day long. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, my throat feels comfortable, without coughing or phlegm, but when I lie down to sleep at night, the coughing symptoms suddenly appear, and they are persistent. What should I do if I have this nighttime cough that won’t stop?

Autumn and winter are the peak seasons for colds. At this time of year, the number of people who suffer from incessant coughing for various reasons begins to increase. The feeling of coughing out your lungs is so painful that you wish you were dying.

In the past, whenever I had a cough, my parents would usually boil a pot of pear soup and let me drink as much as I could, but it didn't always work. Later I found out that there are many types of coughs, and it is difficult to cure them without the right medicine.

What type of cough do you have? You have to see it!

1. Cold cough - white radish honey soup

White radish tastes spicy and sweet and can assist in the treatment of a variety of diseases. It can not only regulate qi and resolve phlegm, promote fluid production and relieve cough, but also nourish the kidney and replenish qi, and relieve cough.

Honey tastes sweet and has the effects of tonifying the middle and relieving urgency, moistening the lungs and relieving cough, moistening the intestines, detoxifying, and beautifying the skin.

[Preparation]: Wash and peel the white radish, then cut into small dices; take half a bottle of honey, pour the chopped radish into the honey and stir evenly. After 2 hours, pour out a tablespoon of this radish honey juice, dilute it with warm water, and drink it 4-5 times a day. Usually the cough symptoms will be relieved the next day!

2. Wind-heat cold: roasted oranges

It is said that roasted oranges are effective for coughs caused by colds. I haven’t tried it yet, but it may come in handy this winter. (I’m afraid I can’t change this “habit” of catching a cold every winter). Friends who want to try it should eat the orange peel and the orange flesh together!

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that tangerine peel has the effects of regulating qi, removing dryness, promoting dampness, resolving phlegm, relieving cough, strengthening the spleen and stomach. Orange pulp is rich in vitamin C, which can enhance the anti-inflammatory effect and resist bronchial inflammatory reactions.

[Preparation]: Roast the oranges directly over low heat, turning them constantly. Wait until the oranges emit steam and the peel turns black, then they are done. After they have cooled slightly, peel off the peel and eat the warm orange segments inside. Adults can eat one at a time, while children can eat 2 to 3 segments at a time.

3. Cough due to excessive lung fire: Steamed rock sugar and snow pear juice

Pears moisten the lungs and clear away heat, promote salivation and quench thirst. Used with rock sugar, they can enhance the moisturizing and cough-relieving effects. They can treat symptoms such as dry cough, dry cough without phlegm, dry lips and throat. They are especially suitable for consumption in autumn and winter.

[Preparation]: Peel the pear, cut the top, scoop out the core with a spoon, put rock sugar in the middle, put the top cover back, steam the pear in a steamer for about 30 minutes, and you can eat it. You have to eat it several times before it works.

4. Morning cough - frangipani honey

Honey water has the function of relieving cough, and if eggs are added, the effect will be doubled.

[Preparation]: Add boiling water to an egg to make egg drop soup. After it cools down a little, add 1 spoon of honey and a little sesame oil. Drink it on an empty stomach every morning. It will be effective after 10 to 15 days.

5. Cough at night - sesame rock sugar water

Sesame tastes sweet and is mild in nature. It is cool when used raw. It is oily and moist, and can nourish the lungs and kidneys. When taken with rock sugar, it can nourish yin, moisten dryness and relieve cough. It is good for internal injuries and dry coughs.

[Preparation]: 15 grams of raw sesame seeds and 10 grams of rock sugar. Put the sesame seeds and rock sugar in a bowl and drink with boiling water.
