There is always scab and blood in the nose

Many people may have experienced the phenomenon of blood scabs in the nose. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, such as getting angry or nasal diseases, such as vestibulitis or atrophic rhinitis. If it is caused by getting angry, it is best to eat a light diet and eat less spicy and irritating foods. If it is a nasal disease, it is best to avoid picking your nose frequently with your hands. You can spray some medicine to treat nasal diseases.

Symptoms of nasal vestibulitis

It is divided into acute and chronic types. In acute cases, the skin of the nasal vestibule is red, swollen and painful. In severe cases, it may extend to the junction of the upper lip, with tenderness, epidermal erosion and covered with scabs. Chronic cases cause itching, burning and crusting of the nasal vestibule, loss of nasal hair, thickening of the skin, cracking or covered with scaly crusts.

Nasal obstruction, purulent nasal discharge, local pain and headache, decreased sense of smell; Chronic sinusitis: purulent nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, olfactory impairment, headache, etc.

During the course of acute rhinitis, the symptoms on the affected side often worsen, followed by chills and fever, general discomfort, lack of energy, and loss of appetite. Chronic sinusitis: Symptoms are mild or not obvious, generally including dizziness, fatigue, depression, malaise, poor appetite, insomnia, memory loss, inattention, reduced work efficiency, etc. In very rare cases, if the lesion has already developed, there may be persistent low-grade fever.

Examination: Anterior rhinoscopy can reveal nasal vestibule skin lesions. Examination of acute cases may reveal redness, swelling, cracking and superficial erosion of the skin in the nasal vestibule and at the junction of the nasal vestibule and the upper lip, with pus attached to the nasal hairs. The patient feels pain and discomfort in the nostrils, which is especially obvious when blowing the nose. People with chronic vestibulitis often have nasal hair loss, dry or purulent crusts on the nasal vestibule, and often feel itching, fever, and a foreign body sensation in the nostrils.

diagnosis:

Diagnostic points: The secretions can be examined by cytology. In acute cases, patients are often afraid of examination due to pain in the affected area. In chronic cases, sparse and falling nasal hairs can be seen in the nasal vestibule.

Differential diagnosis: This disease should be differentiated from nasal vestibule eczema. Nasal eczema is often a part of facial eczema or systemic eczema, and is more common in children. It is related to allergic factors and belongs to type IV allergy. The skin lesions are polymorphously distributed and often recur. The itching is severe and there is a clear tendency of exudation. Antihistamines can relieve symptoms.
