Before a disease occurs in the human body, there are certain signs. For example, if a person experiences discomfort in the back of the head and the base of the cervical spine, this may very well be a precursor to cervical spondylosis. The impact of cervical spondylosis on patients is relatively large, especially it can cause atlantoaxial joint subluxation, which brings greater harm to human health. So, what should you do if you feel discomfort in the back of your head and the base of your cervical spine? A detailed introduction will be given below. 1. It may be a precursor to cervical spondylosis In fact, when you have this problem, you are definitely close to cervical spondylosis, or you have cervical spondylosis but it has not been clearly diagnosed. When you feel uncomfortable leaning back, or you feel discomfort in your cervical spine and cannot describe it, this will eventually cause joint dislocation and lead to cervical spondylosis. Generally speaking, when this happens, I suggest that you seek treatment as early as possible, because it is a transitional stage. It is possible that after you have cured this, the cervical spine may no longer affect you, and you will not experience pain. If you leave it there all the time, it will definitely get heavier over time. Second, it may cause sequelae If you feel pain when leaning back, early treatment is recommended. Why? Because of this position, it is easy to cause subluxation of the atlantoaxial joint. The many tiny muscles around the atlantoaxial joint are your core muscles, which control the muscles throughout your body. If there is a problem with it, your joints will definitely be affected, and there are more blood vessels and nerves in this area, so it is easy to be compressed or squeezed. 3. How to treat the discomfort at the back of the head and leaning back? 1. Release the atlanto-pivot joint Loosening the atlantoaxial joint mainly involves loosening the cervical vertebrae acupoints, and the Wan Gu acupoint is still the first choice. I have repeatedly written about this method in my previous articles. After many people did this, their cervical vertebrae immediately felt much more comfortable. After pressing this acupoint with your thumb, push it to the opposite side with enough force not to cause pain. At the same time, flex your head to the same side as the acupoint. 2. Acupuncture I used a type of acupuncture called a blade needle because it can release tense muscles faster and has a better effect. If you have discomfort in the back of your head, or pain when leaning back, I think you can try this acupuncture. 3. Exercise Many people in my treatment group have improved their cervical discomfort through this wall standing exercise. When standing against the wall, first your shoulders should feel like they are touching the wall, and then the back of your head should be against the wall. When doing this movement, do not lift your chin up. |
