Two-person CPR operation process

Two-person CPR operation process

For emergency medical personnel, if they receive two identical patients at the same time, especially those who are undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, it will be extremely urgent, and they must master the relevant knowledge of the two-person cardiopulmonary resuscitation operation process. Arriving at the scene at the same time will greatly increase the difficulty, and this is also a critical moment to examine the medical staff's medical skills and professional proficiency. For the specific implementation steps, you can learn about them from the following aspects.

Operation points

1. The two people arrived at the scene at different times

If the first rescuer arrives at the scene first and the second rescuer arrives during the rescue process, the best time to start two-person cardiopulmonary resuscitation is to take over immediately after the first rescuer completes a cycle of 15 closed-chest cardiac compressions and 2 breaths: one rescuer is located next to the patient's head, opens the airway, and is responsible for artificial respiration. The other rescuer is located at the chest of the patient on the opposite side of the first rescuer and is responsible for palpating the carotid artery for 5 seconds and determining the location of chest compressions. If there is no breathing, the person blowing should blow out two consecutive breaths. If there is no pulse, the person performing compressions should immediately begin closed-chest cardiac compressions. After 5 compressions, there should be a pause of 1 to 1.5 seconds. The person performing the compressions should blow out one breath during this period.

2. Both of them arrived at the scene at the same time

If two rescuers arrive at the scene at the same time before cardiopulmonary resuscitation has begun, they should immediately divide the work. One rescuer should call an ambulance while the other rescuer should start single-handed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. When calling an emergency number, be sure to state: ① the location where the incident occurred (detailed address, including obvious road signs or other eye-catching signs); ② the telephone number used at the time, in case the ambulance cannot find the address, in case you contact them by phone; ③ what incident or event occurred; ④ the number of people who need help; ⑤ what rescue measures have been taken and what is being done for the victims, and what kind of technical guidance is needed. You can hang up only after the other party understands what you said. After the rescuer returns to the patient after making the call, he or she immediately starts two-person cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to the first procedure.

3. Two-person cooperation

During two-person CPR, the two rescuers must work in perfect harmony, and the air blowing must be done within the relaxation time of cardiac compression. The compression frequency is 80 to 100 times per minute, and the compression to breathing ratio is 5:1. In addition to blowing, the person in charge of artificial respiration is also responsible for touching the carotid artery to determine whether the compression is effective and whether the patient has recovered spontaneous circulation and breathing. The two should swap positions when the person doing the compressions becomes fatigued. Cardiac compressions should not be stopped for more than 5 seconds
