What medicine is good for Xin Ji

Many older people experience tachycardia, generally known as palpitations, which is a type of heart palpitations. There are many types of palpitations, which can be divided into many forms according to different symptoms. Acupuncture injection can be used to improve this condition. Each acupuncture point corresponds to a different part and has different functions. It is better to take medicine according to the doctor's advice, and don't buy medicine blindly on your own, otherwise it may not be effective.

Palpitations, also commonly known as heart palpitations, are caused by patients feeling their heartbeats or panic, often accompanied by discomfort in the precordial area. Anything that causes changes in heart rhythm, heart rate, or heart muscle contractility can cause palpitations. Excessive or abnormal heart activity; nervous sensitivity, arrhythmia, anxiety, tension, and concentration can also cause palpitations. Palpitations can be caused by changes in the frequency, rhythm or contraction intensity of heart activity, or they can occur when heart activity is completely normal. The latter is caused by people being particularly sensitive to their own heart activity.

Heart blood deficiency type: often manifested as palpitations, pale or sallow complexion, restless sleep at night, or frequent dreams, timidity and easy fright. Such patients should eat foods that have the effect of nourishing blood and calming the nerves, and avoid spicy and dry foods.

Weak heart qi type: often feel palpitations and shortness of breath, sweating or spontaneous sweating when moving, pale complexion, fatigue, decreased appetite, or cold limbs, pale tongue with white coating. It is advisable to eat foods that warm the yang and replenish qi regularly, and avoid eating raw, cold, and greasy foods.

Yin deficiency and fire excess type: frequent palpitations and irritability, sore throat and dry mouth, hot hands and feet, restless and irritable sleep at night, or night sweats, red tongue with little coating. It is advisable to eat foods that promote the production of body fluids, nourish yin and calm the mind, and avoid eating spicy, dry and dispersing foods.

Phlegm-fire disturbance type: often feel palpitations, chest tightness and restlessness, irritability and insomnia, dizziness and bitter taste in the mouth, or excessive phlegm, nausea, and yellow and greasy tongue coating. It is advisable to eat foods that clear away heat and resolve phlegm, and avoid fried, smoked, roasted, greasy, and sweet foods.

Qi stagnation and blood stasis type: Feeling of palpitations and heartache, chest tightness and discomfort, shortness of breath, dull pain like stabbing or swelling, and purple tongue. It is advisable to eat foods that can dissolve blood stasis, dredge meridians, promote qi and activate blood circulation, and avoid eating raw, cold, sour and astringent foods. Treatment method: regulate heart qi, calm the mind and relieve palpitations. The main acupoints are the Hand Jueyin and Hand Shaoyin meridians.

The main acupoints are Neiguan, Ximen, Shenmen, Jueyinshu, and Juque: For those with weak heart and gallbladder, add Gallbladdershu; for those with both heart and spleen deficiency, add Spleenshu and Zusanli; for those with yin deficiency and excessive fire, add Shenshu and Taixi; for those with water vapor invading the heart, add Tanzhong and Qihai; for those with blood stasis in the heart meridian, add Tanzhong and Geshu; for those who are easily frightened, add Daling; for those with excessive sweating, add Gaohuang; for those with restlessness and heat, add Laogong; for those with tinnitus, add Zhongzhu and Taixi; for those with edema, add Shuifen and Zhongji.

Other treatments

(1) Acupoint injection method: The acupoints are selected according to the basic treatment, and vitamin B1 or vitamin B12 injection is used, 0.5 ml is injected into each acupoint, once every other day.

(2) Auricular acupuncture is used on the sympathetic, Shenmen, heart, spleen, liver, gallbladder, and kidney points, with light stimulation using filiform needles. You can also bury it with a pressing needle or press it with a fenugreek seed patch.
