What is the use of expired Coke

If the cola you bought at home is out of its shelf life, it is best not to drink it anymore. However, it would be a pity to throw it away at this time. In fact, although expired cola can no longer be drunk, it still has many uses. Cola contains citric acid and these acidic stains, so it can be used to clean kitchen utensils, which is very effective. It is also very effective in removing rust. In addition, you can also use expired cola to wash your hair to improve hair quality.

What is the use of expired Coke?

1. Clean kitchen utensils

Coke contains acidic ingredients such as citric acid. Pouring expired Coke into a burnt pot and boiling it, or pouring it into a kettle with scale, can effectively remove the burnt materials on the bottom of the pot and the dirt in the kettle, thereby achieving a cleaning effect.

2. Remove rust

The chemical properties of Coke help break down rust particles. If you have rusty screws or other iron items at home, soak them in Coke overnight and then sand them in circles with sandpaper to effectively remove the rust.

3. Improve hair quality

When washing your hair, pour a small amount of cola on your hair, gently rub it for a while, then wash it with clean water and blow it dry. You will find that your hair becomes more fluffy and shiny. Moreover, cola is a weakly acidic beverage, and the weak acidity can play a certain protective role on the hair and scalp.

4. Remove clothing substances

When clothes are stained with grease, blood or the like, first soak the clothes in water for about five minutes, then pour a small amount of cola on the stained area, and the clothes can be cleaned quickly.

How to store unfinished Coke?

If you don't finish the canned cola you bought, you can seal the can and store it in the refrigerator. This way, it will last for 5 to 7 days, and the carbon dioxide will not be lost too quickly and the taste will not change much.

If it is a bottled cola, you can squeeze the bottle slightly to compress the space inside the bottle as much as possible, thereby suppressing the amount of bubbles coming out of the cola, and you don't have to worry about "gas leakage"; in addition, you can also tighten the bottle cap and store it upside down. The cola in the bottle will overflow at the bottle mouth, blocking the gap at the bottle mouth, and the carbonic acid in the cola will not be able to escape.
