What's wrong with the black belly button

What's wrong with the black belly button

For every baby, in the mother's womb, the baby must be connected to the placenta through the umbilical cord to obtain nutrients from the mother to complete its own growth and development. Of course, after the baby is born, the umbilical cord will lose its corresponding function, so the doctor will cut the umbilical cord and tie it tightly after the baby is born. So let us understand what is going on with the black belly button.

1. Why does the belly button turn black during pregnancy?

1. Understand the midline of pregnancy

The correct name for the pregnancy linea alba is the linea alba. It exists before pregnancy and occurs in both men and women. It does not only appear during pregnancy. It is a line band formed by the fusion of the aponeurosis of the anterior abdominal wall and muscle fiber tissue attached to it. It runs from the xiphoid process of the sternum through the navel to the pubic symphysis, forming a midline that divides the left and right sides of the belly. In addition to being the attachment point of human muscles, it itself has no functionality. For the pregnant mother's belly, it is a killer that affects the appearance. When the belly is expanded, the line is pushed outward and becomes more prominent. The reason why it is called the pregnancy line is that for most mothers, the line becomes darker and clearly visible during pregnancy, so it is renamed this.

2. Causes of the midline of pregnancy

The cause of the midline of pregnancy is due to hormonal changes. During pregnancy, a large amount of progesterone, estrogen (also known as estrogen) and melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH) are produced. These hormones stimulate the increase of melanocytes and produce pigmentation. The skin color will become darker and the midline will appear darker and more obvious. Other areas affected by pigmentation include skin wrinkles, areola, nipples, inner thighs, armpits, groin, etc., including moles, freckles, and scars, which will become darker and darker.

2. Fetal indicators at 5 months of pregnancy

1. Fetal length: 18-25cm

2. Fetal weight: 160-300 grams

Facial features: At this time, the fetus's head accounts for 1/3 of the body length, the entrance of the ears is open; the gums begin to form; the hair and eyebrows are complete.

3. Limbs: Fingers and toes grow nails and become raised. The fetus will also lick and suck the thumb with its mouth, as if it is tasting the flavor of its fingers.

4. Organs: As subcutaneous fat begins to deposit, the skin becomes translucent, but the subcutaneous blood vessels are still clearly visible; the bones and muscles also become stronger. The genitals are clearly visible. The fetus's hearing is formed, the fetus begins to be able to swallow amniotic fluid, the kidneys are able to produce urine, and the sensory organs begin to develop rapidly according to regions.

5. Fetal movement: 16 to 20 weeks of pregnancy is the period when you just begin to feel fetal movement. At this time, the baby's movements are not very large and the movements are not intense. Pregnant mothers usually feel that the fetal movements at this time are like fish swimming, or "gurgling" bubbles, which are a bit like the feeling of bloating, gastrointestinal motility or hunger. Inexperienced pregnant mothers often can't tell the difference. At this time, the location of the fetal movement is closer to the belly button.
