What are the symptoms of intestinal adhesion

As people's living standards improve, they are suffering from more and more diseases, especially for office workers or students. Intestinal adhesions are caused by various reasons, mainly injury or inflammation.

(1) Injury:

(a) Prolonged exposure of the intestine during surgery, air pollution, rough movements, large wound surface, severe damage to the serosal layer, incomplete hemostasis, postoperative bleeding and fluid leakage into the abdominal cavity, incomplete flushing of the department, or foreign matter left in the abdominal cavity can all cause intestinal adhesions;

(b) Abdominal trauma: The abdomen is suddenly impacted by the outside world. Although the impacted part is not ruptured or perforated, it is still damaged to a certain extent. The local tissue may become congested and edematous, or bloody exudate may flow into the abdominal cavity, causing edema and adhesion of surrounding tissues.

(c) Chemical drugs, such as those used in birth control occlusion surgery, leak into the abdominal cavity and cause severe adhesions

(2) Inflammation:

(a) Intra-abdominal inflammation leads to inflammatory edema, exudate or pus overflowing into the abdominal cavity, causing adhesions;

(b) Tuberculous peritonitis causes intestinal adhesions. Tuberculous peritonitis can be divided into two types: dry and wet. The dry type is characterized by the presence of fibrinous exudates on the peritoneum in addition to tuberculous nodules. After organization, the abdominal cavity becomes a place where the organs, the greater omentum and the mesentery are extensively adhered.

(c) Intestinal tuberculosis causes intestinal adhesions. Patients with intestinal tuberculosis can see cellulose exudation and many gray-white tuberculous nodules on the serosal surface of the intestine. Ulcers often cause occlusion of intestinal wall blood vessels. At the same time, the intestinal wall often forms adhesions with the adjacent intestine or greater omentum due to hyperplasia and hypertrophy of fibrous tissue.
