What to do if shoes pinch your feet

We all know that newly bought shoes are likely to be uncomfortable, because many shoes require a running-in period. After this running-in period, the shoes will be very smooth to wear. During the running-in period, you may feel the shoes pinching your feet after walking a few steps. Even famous brands that cost thousands of dollars may have this phenomenon. So what should you do when the shoes pinch your feet? Let me introduce to you

1. Cover the part of the shoe that rubs your feet with a wet towel for a few minutes. Then take a dry soft towel to wrap the place where your feet are squeezed. Use a hammer to knock the part of the shoe that rubs your feet a few times to make it flat. Once the leather of the shoe becomes soft and flat, it will no longer rub your feet.

2. Take a piece of newspaper, crumple it into a ball, and dip it in water (not too wet, but make sure the whole ball is wet). Then take another piece of dry newspaper to wrap the wet newspaper, stuff it in the part that is squeezing your feet, then seal the shoes in a plastic bag and leave it overnight. That's it.

3. If the new shoes pinch your feet because they are too small, you may try to wet them with a wet towel and then use shoe wedges to stretch them larger so that they will fit your feet better.

4. Before putting on your shoes, take a piece of soap (or a normal candle will do) and apply a thin layer on the part that has most contact with your heels. This will make the heels smooth and will no longer rub your feet.

1. Application method: Apply facial cream on the place where new leather shoes rub your feet, or dry a wet paper towel, then soak it fully in white wine, fix it with a clip on the place where your feet rub, and leave it overnight to soften the leather.

2. Pressing method: If the edge of the shoe rubs your foot, you can cover it with a wet towel for a few minutes to make it damp and soft, and then use a glass bottle or other cylindrical object to press it hard several times.

3. Wedge method: If the new shoes pinch your feet because they are too small, you may try to wet them with a wet towel and then use shoe wedges to stretch them larger so that they will fit your feet better.

You can also use a wet sponge to wet the shoe leather that rubs your foot. It will soften after an hour and you won't be uncomfortable wearing it again. You can also use white wine or a little white vinegar to wipe the injured part of the leather shoes, soak it for about 5-15 minutes, blow with hot air from a hair dryer, and gently rub the heel with your hands to soften it. Wait until it is slightly soft, then put it on and walk. After it dries, it will no longer rub your feet. Allow the leather to soften naturally. Natural softening is the best. In the early stages, you can use tape to stick on the place where the shoe rubs against the foot. After a while, you can remove the tape when it doesn’t rub your foot too much.
