Tonsillar keratosis can heal itself

Tonsillar keratosis can heal itself

Common sense tells us that many diseases in human life can be healed naturally. For example, tonsil keratosis is a disease that can be adjusted through good living habits and scientific eating habits to minimize the impact of the disease on patients. So can tonsil keratosis really heal itself? So if it cannot heal itself, what methods should be used to treat tonsil keratosis?

Tonsillar keratosis is the abnormal keratinization of the lymphoid tissue of the tonsils. This disease is common in young and middle-aged people aged 15 to 40, with no significant difference between men and women, and most of them have no smoking or drinking habits.

Causes of tonsil keratosis:

1. Caused by fungi: Bacteriological examination often reveals buccal ciliate fungi and fumoxomycetes, so the disease is considered to be caused by fungal parasitism and is called "pharyngeal fungal disease" or tonsil fungal disease.

2. Local chronic inflammation, infection or mechanical stimulation can lead to hyperplasia of the epithelium and surface keratinization; or these conditions are conducive to the reproduction of putrefactive bacteria (such as buccal ciliate bacteria), causing this disease. According to clinical observations, this disease mostly occurs in people with dental caries and poor oral hygiene, and often has a history of recurrent pharyngeal infections and local use of antibiotics. Therefore, it is believed that chronic inflammation and irritation may be factors that induce this disease.

3. Malnutrition of epithelial tissue caused by systemic diseases causes keratinization of the epithelial surface, leading to this disease.

Symptoms of tonsil keratosis:

Tonsillar keratosis develops slowly, with no systemic symptoms and no significant local symptoms. People often go to the hospital for treatment only after accidentally discovering white spots in the throat or discovering them during a physical examination. Some patients, depending on the extent of the lesions, may experience dryness, discomfort, itching, foreign body sensation, and even pain in the throat; or cough, hoarseness, and bad breath.

Generally, there is no good way to treat tonsil keratosis conservatively. Most of the symptoms are a foreign body sensation in the throat. Rarely, there will be repeated pain and fever. The treatment means removing the tonsils together. Drug treatment will not have a significant effect. Anti-inflammatory drugs are useless. Surgical treatment is necessary, and it is a minor operation.
