What to do if shoes rub heels and cause blisters

What to do if shoes rub heels and cause blisters

Many people try on shoes before buying them. It's not just about whether the shoe size is right, but also about how comfortable the shoe is. But sometimes, even though we have tried on the shoes, the new shoes we bought still rub our heels when we walk. This situation is especially serious for some high heels. So, what should you do if your shoes rub your heels and cause blisters?

How to avoid shoes hitting your feet

Method 1

First, prepare a pair of socks.

Put on a pair of socks (the thicker the better) before putting on your new shoes. Wear them at home for an hour or two, walk around constantly, then take off your socks and put on your shoes. You will find that your new shoes become as comfortable and fit as your old ones.

Method 2

Band-Aid: Applying a Band-Aid to the injured area of your foot can serve as an isolation measure.

Method 3

Use a towel to pad the inside of your shoes, and use a small hammer to hit the part that is rubbing your feet. Don't use too much force, but use a little force to soften the part that is rubbing your feet so that it won't rub your feet anymore.

Method 4

Before going to bed at night, dip a piece of newspaper in water and roll it into a ball. Don't make it too wet. Wrap it with a layer of dry newspaper, roll it tightly and stuff it into the shoe opening. Make sure it fills the entire shoe opening. Put it in a plastic bag, tie the opening tightly and leave it overnight. The purpose is to let the moisture in the newspaper slowly seep into the shoe, so that the shoe opening can be loosened a little.

Method 5

At the back of your ankles or toes, apply deodorant or petroleum jelly to these areas before putting on your shoes. This barrier reduces friction between your skin and shoes, thus preventing blisters.

Method 6

Some socks have a seam at the toe, while others have it at the heel. These seams will also rub against your feet when you wear shoes, not just the shoes themselves. If blisters appear in the same spot every time, you may want to consider changing your socks.

Method 7

The contact between wet skin and shoes or socks can cause severe friction, thus causing blisters. You can sprinkle some talcum powder or cornstarch in your shoes or on your feet to absorb excess moisture and ensure that your feet are dry and free of blisters.

Method 8

From removing calluses to trimming nails, stick to pedicures. Overly long nails rubbing against shoes can create unnecessary friction. Regular pedicures can keep your feet comfortable and beautiful.

How to deal with blisters caused by grinding

1. Use Band-Aids to reduce friction on the heels and prevent blisters from bursting accidentally.

2. Do not intentionally puncture blisters with sharp objects or squeeze them with your hands. The tissue in the blisters should be allowed to be absorbed by the human body and wait for the blisters to shrink on their own.

3. Disinfect the blisters (wipe the blisters with alcohol and take some anti-inflammatory drugs appropriately). At the same time, do not continue to wear shoes that do not fit. You should wear some cotton shoes and socks with good breathability.

4. If the blisters become infected, seek medical treatment immediately.
