Ultrasonic bronchoscopy

Many people may not be very familiar with the medical instrument called ultrasonic bronchoscope. It is a product of the advancement of medical science and plays an important role in the diagnosis of lung diseases. When there is a tumor in the lungs, the composition of the tumor can be removed through ultrasonic bronchoscope, and the nature of the tumor can be analyzed and judged through laboratory tests. This method causes very little trauma to the human body and the diagnostic accuracy is very high.

Ultrasound bronchoscopy-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is a new technology developed since 2002. It can perform TBNA under real-time ultrasound guidance. In 2007, it was recommended by the International Lung Cancer Guidelines as an important tool for lung cancer staging. It is mainly used for the staging of lung cancer lymph node metastasis, chest lymph node enlargement, and the diagnosis of mediastinal and intrapulmonary tumors. Considering that EBUS-TBNA is a newly introduced technology in China (introduced in 2008), it is in urgent need of promotion and improvement. This book systematically explains the development history, latest progress, instrument equipment, related agents, ultrasound and pathology, operation methods, clinical applications and other related knowledge of EBUS-TBNA technology.

"Ultrasound Bronchoscopy Technology" edited by Han Baohui et al. is the first monograph on EBUS-TBNA technology in China. It is rich in content, illustrated, combines theory and practice, and focuses on operability.
