How should thrombosis be treated?

The so-called embolism refers to the blood coagulation in the blood vessels, which affects the normal blood circulation. It mainly manifests itself in the blood of the limbs and unilateral swelling. Patients will also have some complications, which are quite harmful. In normal times, we should pay attention to the use of drug treatment and cooperate with the doctor's conditioning.

venous thrombosis,

It may manifest as edema of the affected limb, usually unilateral.

Tumors, birth control pills, long-term bed rest, advanced age, long-term sitting, and coagulation disorders are the main risk factors.

Venous thrombosis itself is not terrible.

However, it can cause pulmonary embolism.

Severe cases can be fatal.

Therefore, anticoagulation therapy is recommended after thrombosis.

The specific method is to use heparin and warfarin.

Start using heparin, and cross-use heparin and warfarin for 3-5 days.

Heparin can be discontinued when the INR value reaches 2-3.

Anticoagulation therapy requires about 6 months.

If there is a greater risk of re-embolism, lifelong medication is recommended.

Furthermore, if there is a greater risk of pulmonary embolism, a filter can be placed in the inferior vena cava.

Prevent blood clots from breaking off and reaching the pulmonary artery, causing pulmonary embolism.

However, lifelong anticoagulation is required after the filter is placed, and the cost is high.

Most lower limb venous thrombosis will dissolve spontaneously after a few weeks, and the lower limb swelling will subside.

The function of some venous valves is impaired, causing long-term edema.
