But Anhua black tea can be said to have the longest shelf life among all types of tea, and it has the characteristic of "the older the better". However, this long term still has its limit. It is generally believed that brick tea should be stored for 10 to 15 years, Qianliang tea for 10 to 15 years, and loose tea for 5 to 10 years. Its economic and drinking value is relatively high. Fine tea made from high-grade raw materials will have a better taste after being stored for 1 to 2 years.

It’s just that the quality of the black tea at this time no longer guarantees the characteristic of "the older the better". Instead, the quality may begin to decline. This is the so-called "best drinking period". It may take decades or even hundreds of years for black tea to become "spoiled" and undrinkable like ordinary food. If you want to extend the shelf life of Anhua black tea, you must pay special attention to its storage conditions. As long as it is stored properly, it will be fine. On the contrary, if your black tea gets damp and absorbs odors too early, it may not be drinkable even after a year.
