Use a suitable small hatchet to split the dried broad beans into two halves. Find a long bench or wooden board, hold the knife handle in your hand, and use two fingers on either side of the knife to pinch a broad bean with the navel facing up. Wash the dustpan in advance, dry it, spread a layer of pumpkin leaves or mulberry leaves on it, then spread the drained broad bean petals evenly, and cover it with pumpkin leaves or mulberry leaves again.
