Chemical hair removal: Chemical depilatories currently used for hair removal include depilatory creams, depilatory creams, and hair removal liquids. In addition, this method is also a relatively affordable option in terms of cost. However, this method should not be used in areas such as around the eyes and mucous membranes. In addition, depilatory creams, depilatory creams, and hair removal liquids contain corrosive ingredients. Repeated and long-term use may cause damage to the skin and cause chemical and allergic dermatitis. Therefore, chemical hair removal is not an ideal hair removal method.

Waxing: Waxing is one of the commonly used methods used in beauty salons for temporary hair removal over a large area. Although the operation is more complicated, hair removal is fast and economical. There are two types of depilatory wax: frozen wax and hot wax. Frozen wax costs more than hot wax. The main components of frozen wax are various resins, which have strong adhesion and are mostly suitable for hair removal on sensitive skin areas. Hot wax is mostly a mixture of beeswax and resin. Need to be heated and melted before use. First, leave about 3mm long hair shaft on the hair to be treated, apply wax on the skin along the direction of hair growth, then apply a layer of cloth flatly, and then peel off the cloth against the direction of hair growth to achieve the purpose of hair removal. This method can be considered a modification of the plucking method, so the hair will regrow after 2-6 weeks. However, during the treatment process, this method can cause distortion of the hair roots and follicles in the skin, leading to ingrown hairs, which can easily aggravate and cause secondary folliculitis (use of hot wax) or other types of skin infections [6]. This method is not suitable for patients with diabetes, varicose veins, skin ulcers and inflammation.

Electrolysis hair removal: A tiny metal needle is inserted around each hair follicle, and an electric current is passed to cause an electrolytic reaction in the tissue, destroying the hair follicles and hair bulbs to achieve the purpose of hair removal. This method is a permanent hair removal method. After multiple electrolysis treatments, the hair follicles and hair bulbs, which are the "growth center" of the hair, can achieve the effect of completely eliminating all hair. This method is suitable for thicker and harder hair, but it has high requirements on the operator. Only when the fine needle just penetrates the hair follicle, especially around the hair bulb, can it have a better therapeutic effect. Its biggest disadvantages are that the treatment is time-consuming, painful and expensive. Sometimes, skin erythema, edema, and patients with scar-prone constitutions may develop local keloids after treatment. In addition, this method is not suitable for patients with pacemakers. Therefore, electrolysis hair removal is only chosen by a small number of patients.
