Paronychia polyp

Paronychia polyp

Many patients with paronychia feel extremely painful because of the excruciating pain of the nail growing into the flesh, which only those who have suffered from it can understand. Moreover, if paronychia is not treated, the nail will continue to grow into the flesh. Over time, the nail will need to be removed and a new nail will grow to avoid paronychia. Many patients with paronychia will have paronychia polyps. So how to treat paronychia polyps?

When paronychia has turned into pus, Lijianing can be used for treatment. For unilateral subcutaneous abscess, drainage can be performed by making an incision next to the nail groove; bilateral subcutaneous abscess requires bilateral drainage, and then application of liguanide ointment. For an abscess at the root of the nail, simply lifting the skin is often not enough to drain the pus under the nail, and it is necessary to separate and remove part of the nail or even the entire nail (but the base tissue should not be damaged too much to avoid losing the nail's ability to regenerate in the future). Anesthesia should be given proximally to the finger with lidocaine to block the digital nerve. Do not perform infiltration anesthesia near the lesion. In addition, paronychia is almost impossible to cure. Since most people choose to go to the hospital to remove the nail for treatment, it increases the pain and may even require multiple nail removals.

In fact, paronychia and polyps can be cured with pedicure tools. After the nails have been softened, the pedicure master will use their tools to trim the part of the nail that is embedded in the skin so that the nail no longer grows into the skin. After several manicures, the symptoms of paronychia are almost eliminated, and the granulation tissue will slowly turn into dead skin over time and fall off naturally. But the pedicure master is not a regular doctor after all. After each pedicure, you should pay attention to applying hydrogen peroxide to the affected area and try to wrap it with gauze to cure the paronychia as soon as possible. After curing paronychia, be sure not to trim the nails too short each time to avoid causing paronychia again.

Try to break the flesh apart, put some cotton underneath, and change it every day. Nail pus? If there is pus, squeeze out the pus, then apply iodine to disinfect it, and then apply some Yunnan Baiyao. If there is no pus, you can apply some Bactroban, ichthyol ointment or erythromycin ointment after disinfection. Don't do strenuous exercise, don't wear shoes that squeeze your feet, and trim your nails flat.
