1. The efficacy and use of Pien Tze Huang Cao

It is a tablet made of bezoar, Panax notoginseng, snake gall, musk, etc. It has a slight fragrance, bitter and slightly sweet taste. It has anti-inflammatory, cooling and detoxifying, swelling and analgesic effects. It is effective for acute hepatitis, eye inflammation, otitis, carbuncle, furuncle, unknown swelling, bruises and all pain and fever caused by inflammation.

2. Introduction of Pien Tze Huang Cao

The scientific name of Pianzaohuangcao is Bleucophylla, which belongs to the genus Panax notoginseng of the Asteraceae family. It is distributed in Taipei, Keelung, Tamsui, Yilan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Taitung and Hualien in Taiwan, and is also widely distributed in Zhangzhou. Pianzaohuangcao is a perennial herb, nearly scape-shaped, 25-50 cm tall, with oval, fleshy leaves, 4-6 cm long, 2-4 cm wide, blunt at the apex, with wavy small sharp teeth on the edges, and covered with short hairs on both sides. The florets extend out of the involucre, the corolla is yellow, 14-15 mm long. Pianzaohuangcao is strong in nature and has low requirements for the soil quality of its cultivation. Fertile sandy soil is the best. Drainage and sunlight conditions need to be good. It likes high temperature environment and the suitable temperature for growth is 20~30℃. It generally grows in plains and low mountains in the shade and wet places.
