What to do if the skin hurts due to sunburn

What to do if the skin hurts due to sunburn

In the hot summer, we still have to go out to work. Especially for people who often engage in outdoor activities, sunburn is a very common phenomenon. Sunburn not only causes stinging and burning sensations, but also makes the skin red and dark, affecting its appearance. In severe cases, it can also cause many skin problems. Therefore, everyone is very concerned about what to do when the skin hurts due to sunburn. Let's take a look at it together.

Tips for severe sunburn such as peeling

For severe sunburns such as peeling, considering that the high temperature and sweating in summer can easily cause infection, in order to prevent infection, do not tear off the peeling skin with your hands, and do not wash your face or take a shower with too hot water, as this will only dry the skin and aggravate peeling. You can use warm water for a bath and use some moisturizing masks appropriately to relieve symptoms. I personally recommend going to a hospital clinic to receive professional care. Below we focus on the treatment of mild to moderate sunburns such as redness and hotness of the skin.

Vinegar treatment

Pour vinegar in a 1:1 ratio into the prepared sprayer, shake well, spray it on the sunburned area, then cover the sunburned area with a towel of similar color. The symptoms will be relieved.

Tip: Although this method tastes a bit unpleasant, it is very effective in reducing sunburn.

Cold compress

Place the wet towel in the freezer for 5 minutes, and use ice water to clean the sunburned area. Then take out the towel and apply it to the reddened skin for 15-20 minutes. After the skin returns to normal, apply lotion-like skin care products to moisturize the skin and prevent it from drying out.

Tips: Be especially careful with the red areas on your face. Stop using essences and other skin care products first, and only use mild toner or lotion for moisturizing.

Aloe Vera Therapy

Everyone knows that aloe vera has the effect of clearing heat and reducing fever. After sunburn, you can squeeze the aloe vera juice and apply it on the sunburned skin, and let the juice dry naturally.

Lavender essential oil

Take 5 drops of lavender essential oil and 15 ml of base oil, mix the lavender essential oil and base oil together, and apply it to the injured skin once in the morning and once in the evening. This treatment not only relieves the pain of sunburn and speeds up skin healing, but also moisturizes the skin.

Vitamin skin care

Take a vitamin E capsule and cut it open. Then pour the oily substance into the moisturizer and mix well. Apply it to the sunburned area to speed up the recovery of the sunburned skin.
