Asphalt is actually a chemical material. Asphalt is easily used in our construction industry. But what should you do if you accidentally get asphalt on your clothes? Generally speaking, the laundry detergent we use cannot remove asphalt. Because asphalt oil has strong adsorption properties. Today we are going to teach you a little trick that makes cleaning asphalt completely effortless. 1. If the clothes are just contaminated with asphalt and the dirt has not yet solidified, you can use turpentine, benzene, gasoline, etc. to rub and wash them. 2. If the asphalt on the clothes is an old stain or has already solidified, first soak it in a mixture of ether and turpentine (1:1). After about 10 minutes when the stain becomes soft, rub it with gasoline or benzene, and finally rinse it with clean water. 3. If asphalt gets on clothes, you can first scrape it off with a knife, soak it in carbon tetrachloride sold in pharmacies for a while, or rub it in hot water to remove it. 4. To remove asphalt, you can also directly use 10-20% ammonia water, or add half the ammonia water and turpentine, and then wash after it dissolves. 5. Soak the contaminated clothes in 2% borax solution and wash them after they dissolve. 6. Soak the clothes in benzene or toluene and wash them after they are dissolved. Do you think cleaners are amazing? They can clean furniture, floors, sanitation, walls, etc. at home very well, and now they can even clean stains on clothes. What a magical world this is. I think society is blessed with cleaners! We are so lucky! Asphalt can be mainly divided into three types: coal tar asphalt, petroleum asphalt and natural asphalt: Coal tar pitch Coal tar pitch is a by-product of coking, that is, the black substance remaining in the still after tar distillation. It differs from refined tar only in physical properties, with no clear boundaries. The general classification method is to define tar as having a softening point below 26.7°C (cubic method) and asphalt as having a softening point above 26.7°C. Coal tar pitch mainly contains non-volatile anthracene, phenanthrene, pyrene, etc. These substances are toxic, and the properties of coal tar pitch vary depending on the content of these components. Temperature changes have a great impact on coal tar pitch, which tends to crack in winter and soften in summer. It has a special smell when heated; after heating to 260℃ for 5 hours, the anthracene, phenanthrene, pyrene and other components it contains will evaporate. Petroleum Asphalt Petroleum asphalt is the residue after the distillation of crude oil. Depending on the degree of refining, it is liquid, semi-solid or solid at room temperature. Petroleum asphalt is black and shiny and has a high temperature sensitivity. Since it has been distilled to above 400°C during the production process, it contains very few volatile components, but there may still be high-molecular hydrocarbons that have not been volatilized. These substances are more or less harmful to human health. Natural asphalt Natural asphalt is stored underground, either in the form of mineral layers or deposited on the surface of the earth's crust. Most of this asphalt has undergone natural evaporation and oxidation and generally no longer contains any toxins. Asphalt materials are divided into two categories: ground asphalt and tar asphalt. Asphalt is divided into natural asphalt and petroleum asphalt. Natural asphalt is the residue left after long-term exposure and evaporation of petroleum that has seeped out of the ground; petroleum asphalt is the product obtained by treating the residual oil left over from refined petroleum with appropriate technology. Tar pitch is a product obtained by reprocessing tar obtained from dry distillation of organic matter such as coal and wood. Most of the asphalt used in engineering projects is petroleum asphalt, which is a mixture of complex hydrocarbons and their non-metallic derivatives. Usually the flash point of asphalt is between 240℃~330℃, and the ignition point is about 3℃~6℃ higher than the flash point, so the construction temperature should be controlled below the flash point. |
