Technically, shrunken clothing can never be fully restored. But as long as you find the right method, you can relax the fibers of the clothes and restore them to their original state as much as possible.

The following simple method can do it.

Steam ironing can shrink sweater fibers by heating them with a steam iron, and then using your hands to stretch the fibers while they are still hot. According to experience, since the heating area of the steam iron is limited, in order to ensure uniform fiber stretching, the sweater is subjected to local, segmented, partial, and heating stretching methods. The fiber cannot be stretched a lot at one time and needs to be heated and stretched repeatedly. Total length to be stretched before stretching

Have a clear idea in mind so that you can also know the stretching length of each section. After all the stretching is completed, use a ruler to measure the total length. If the length is not enough, repeat it. Pay special attention not to oversize and make appropriate adjustments at the end. The operation should be done on an ironing table. At home, you can put a blanket on the table. After everything is completed, it is best to use a portrait machine to heat and shape it and cool it to set it.
