What medicine to use to control termites

Generally, termites appear in large numbers starting from April every year, which is the peak period of termites. People need to face the headache of how to eliminate termites. In fact, people can kill termites themselves in life using some special medicines. So what medicine should be used to control termites? Today I will tell you what medicine to use to control termites.

How to find termites? Termites usually build their nests in damp wooden products, such as door frames, floors, and the dark sides of furniture. You can knock on wooden products to listen to the sound. Wooden products with ant nests will make a hollow sound when knocked, or a rustling sound when the termites are frightened and crawling. Preparation: First, twist the top of the bottle and remove the lid.

After discovering termites, use tools such as screwdrivers to make a few small holes. Insert the nozzle into the small hole, squeeze the bottle, and spray in the termite cleaning powder. Spray one spot every 50-100cm of ant trail, but do not block or damage the ant trail. When an ant nest is found, insert 3-5 holes at the nest location. The amount of medicine to be sprayed at each hole should be equal to pressing the bottle 5-7 times by hand.

If you find a large number of termites concentrated on door frames, wooden boxes, bookshelves, and wooden furniture, you can spray pesticides in multiple places where the termites are active, so that the termites can carry as much pesticide powder as possible into the ant nest, so as to achieve a better chain effect.

The following types of drugs are mainly used in termite control and termite killing:

Organophosphate termite control drugs include chlorpyrifos and phoxim;

Chlorpyrifos has highly effective contact and stomach poison and fumigation effects.

Insecticide

It has a broad spectrum and a long residual effect, and is currently banned. Phoxim is mainly developed as a termite preventive agent.

Carbamate termite control drugs use microencapsulation technology to slowly release the active ingredients, achieving the purpose of long-term effect.

The main types of pyrethroid termite control drugs include permethrin, cypermethrin, and cypermethrin. It has a good repellent effect and can effectively prevent termites from passing through a 5CM long soil layer. It has a long lasting effect and is widely used.

Chlorinated nicotinyl termite control drugs are mainly based on imidacloprid, which is a highly effective, low-toxic, main-spectrum systemic insecticide that has both stomach poison and contact effects and is relatively long-lasting.

The main phenylpyrazole termite control drug is fipronil, which has a broad spectrum of insecticides and is mainly a stomach poison to termites. It also has contact killing and certain systemic effects. Insect regulator-type termite control drugs include juvenile hormone mimics that can induce the formation of soldier ants, pre-soldier ants and intermediates, destroying the integrity of the termite colony hierarchy; chitin synthesis inhibitors can inhibit termite molting and have a significant control effect on termite colonies.

Dimethoate, fluazifop, chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos are used for termite control in the wild. Fluazifop has a significant control effect on Reticulate termites and Coptotermes formosanus.
