Skin allergy caused by wearing a watch

Skin allergy caused by wearing a watch

Skin allergy refers to the body's allergic reaction to allergens (usually normal substances), that is, an abnormal reaction. Allergic reactions occur when the human body comes into contact with allergens. Due to individual differences, each person's reaction to allergens is different. For example, foreign proteins, dust, pollen, ultraviolet rays, etc. are all common allergens. Of course, in daily life, some people will suffer from skin allergies due to wearing watches. So what exactly is this situation?

Perhaps many people who buy watches will encounter this situation: after wearing the watch for a period of time, the skin feels itchy, there are red marks, or even rashes. Why is this? At this time, it is probably that you are allergic to wearing the watch, which is often not a quality problem of the watch itself. If you experience an allergic reaction after wearing a watch, you should eliminate the allergic factor.

Since everyone's physique and health condition are different, the symptoms of skin itching and allergies are also different. Skin itching and rashes can be divided into the following three types:

1. Allergic reaction to metal and leather

Solution: If you are confirmed to be allergic to a certain metal or material, then do not wear the corresponding watch.

2. Rust, dirt, sweat, etc. on the watch body or the strap

Solution: If the watch has not been cleaned for a long time, wipe it gently with a wet towel, or take it to a professional repair shop for maintenance.

3. Too tight, not breathable and causing allergies:

Solution: The tightness of the watch strap should be adjusted to suit the size of your wrist. It should not be too loose or too tight, as long as you feel comfortable. If the watch strap uses a "butterfly double snap button", be sure to leave enough space between the strap and the back cover of the watch, which will be more comfortable.

Note: If any abnormal skin phenomenon occurs, please stop using it immediately. Most symptoms will be relieved and disappear. If they are not relieved for a long time, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
