At this time, the zipper needs to be replaced. First, you need to buy a zipper of corresponding size and good quality, and then install the zipper according to the following method.

How to install a zipper?

First, use pliers to pull off the top big tooth of the zipper, and pull both sides.

Then pull the zipper lock to the top and merge the teeth on both sides together.

Then put the zipper lock in (it is somewhat difficult because the diameter of the metal zipper is relatively thick. If it really cannot be put in, cut a small hole in the diameter. Remember, do not cut where the big teeth are installed, but cut near the top, otherwise the big teeth cannot be installed)

After the zipper lock is put in, install the big teeth and everything will be OK

If the chain is not opened and closed smoothly, if you pull the chain head hard, it will cause tooth engagement failure. At this time, apply paraffin or lubricating spray [Zipper Partner] to the surface and inside of the teeth, then move the slider several times and it will slide easily.

If you really don't know how to do it:

When opening and closing the zipper, sometimes the chain head bites the thread segment or fabric and the slider cannot be pulled. If you forcefully pull the slider, the bite will get deeper. You should push the slider back while untying the fabric. When it is fully bitten in, do not pull the slider with force, but slowly pull it back. Also, do not leave any hidden dangers when sewing the zipper.

The zipper pops open after being zipped

This problem is caused by the slider being pulled for too long and its diameter becoming larger. If you want to solve it temporarily, just use pliers to clamp the tail of the slider. Note that it is the tail, but be careful not to use too much force or clamp it off-center. If you want to solve it completely, you have to replace the slider.

Hidden zipper installation method:

1. First, prepare the zipper and the fabric to be installed with the zipper (the following picture is for explanation only):

2. Use a 1.5 cm wide seam allowance to sew the area where the zipper needs to be installed, and then separate and iron the seam allowance. If you don't need to zip up the entire seam, the stitch length for the seam without the zipper should be finer, and backstitching should be used to fix the start and end points.

3. Place the zipper face down and center it with the seam allowance, and use hand sewing needles to sew it and the seam allowance in place:

4. Turn the fabric over, install a single-sided presser foot for sewing zippers on the sewing machine, push the presser foot to the right of the needle, and start from the right side of the zipper opening, press a visible line on the fabric with a 0.7 cm seam allowance:

5. When you finish sewing one side and are ready to sew the other side, first look at the position of the zipper iron underneath. If you can avoid it, you can turn 90 degrees directly and let the needle cross the top of the zipper and turn to the other side to start sewing. When turning, you should first put the needle in the lowest position, then raise the presser foot, and then lower the presser foot to continue sewing after turning. When sewing above the zipper teeth, do not step on the electric motor. Instead, turn the sewing machine wheel by hand to allow the needle to carefully pass over the zipper teeth. This will avoid breaking the needle.

6. If the iron mouth is at the turning position, you only need to push the presser foot to the left side of the needle and start sewing a visible line on the left side from the opening. Remember to backstitch at the beginning and end of the pressing stitch.
