What to do to stop eyelid twitching

Eyelid twitching is very common in daily life. It not only has a certain impact on people's life and work, but also indicates some physical health conditions, such as lack of sleep. People can relieve the symptoms by paying attention to balanced nutrition, doing eye-covering exercises to relax the eyes, and applying hot compresses. I believe there will be good results. Friends in need can give it a try.

1. Pay attention to nutritional balance

Eat more nuts, and also supplement more foods containing calcium and protein, avoid being picky and partial to sweets, because vitamin B1 is needed to metabolize sugar. If too much sugar is consumed, it will cause a deficiency of vitamin B1, which will lead to optic neuritis. Eat more nuts and chew more, which can strengthen the activity of the eye muscles, enhance blood circulation in the eyes, and thus reduce eye fatigue.

2. You can relax your eyes by covering your eyes

Support your elbows on the table, then place your palms in front of your eyes, covering your eyes but not closing them. Allow yourself to breathe freely through your nose, and try not to let light enter your eyes. After practicing for at least four minutes, slowly put your eyes and hands down, and the exercise is complete. Use your peripheral vision to look at things in your field of vision.

3. Use hot compress to relieve

Lie flat on the bed and soak a towel in hot water. Wring it out slightly and apply it to your eyes until your eyes feel a comfortable temperature. For convenience, you can also use a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel for hot compress. After applying it, be sure to apply eye cream or moisturizer. This can enhance blood circulation in the eyes, relieve eye muscle spasms, and can be used to treat eyelid twitching caused by eye fatigue.

Most eyelid twitching is caused by not getting enough sleep, so you should pay attention to getting more rest. If you find any eye disease, you should treat it as soon as possible. If you find that you have myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism, you should wear glasses to correct it under the guidance of a doctor. If your eyes are accompanied by pain or swelling, you should rule out eye diseases such as glaucoma and conjunctivitis.
