Each of us will have moles. We all have moles on our bodies to a greater or lesser extent, but melanocytic moles are more harmful to the body. Ordinary moles basically have no significant effect on the body. So if you have melanocytic moles, you should actively treat them to avoid causing greater impact on the body. What is the difference between melanocytic moles and ordinary moles? How should we distinguish between melanocytic nevi and ordinary nevi? Pigmented nevi are generally located at the junction of the epidermis and dermis, and are very similar to other nevi in appearance. Therefore, many people confuse melanotic nevi with ordinary physiological nevi and other pathological nevi. In clinical practice, they are mainly distinguished through local pathological examinations. How should we make a good distinction in life? Let’s take a look at it below. 1. Distinguish by asymmetry: the two halves of a mole are symmetrical, while the two halves of a malignant melanocytic nevus are asymmetrical. The edges of ordinary moles are smooth and clearly demarcated from the surrounding skin, while the edges of malignant melanocytic nevi are irregular and appear jagged. 2. Make a distinction between large and small moles. The diameter of an ordinary mole is generally less than five millimeters, while the diameter of a melanotic mole is larger than five millimeters. If a mole you see seems relatively large, you should be alert. 3. Difference in color. The color of ordinary moles is usually brown, brown or black, while melanotic moles are based on brown or tan, mixed with pink, white, blue and black. Among them, the blue one is the most serious, and the white one indicates that the tumor has regenerated on its own. Nodular melanocytic nevus is always blue-black or gray. 4. The difference between pressing and seeing if there is any pain. If there is pain, it may be a melanocytic nevus. Generally speaking, people with fair skin are more likely to develop melanocytic nevi than people with dark skin. Pigmented moles that grow in areas of friction and pressure are also prone to malignant transformation, such as the palms, soles, or heels. I will introduce the difference between melanotic nevus and ordinary ones here. The appearance of melanotic nevus has a relatively large impact on patients. Therefore, when facing this phenomenon, it is best for us to go to a regular hospital for pathological examination in time to see whether it is benign or malignant, and cooperate with the doctor's treatment in time. |
