What's the matter with high creatinine in urine routine test

When doing a routine urine test, if the creatinine value is found to be high, then you should pay attention, because the creatinine value can measure kidney function. If the creatinine value exceeds a certain value, it may mean that the kidneys are damaged or affected by some other diseases. In addition, patients with hypertension or taking some drugs that damage the liver and kidneys may also cause an increase in creatinine values.

1. A creatinine value higher than the normal value is called high creatinine. Creatinine includes blood creatinine and urine creatinine, but blood creatinine is a more meaningful measure of kidney function. Therefore, high creatinine generally refers to high blood creatinine. When blood creatinine exceeds 133umol/L, it means that the kidneys are damaged and renal insufficiency and renal failure have occurred.

2. Creatinine, urea nitrogen and uric acid are the three main indicators in renal function tests. The normal range of creatinine is usually around 44-133umol/L. If it is higher than normal, it is considered to be in the stage of renal insufficiency, indicating that more than two-thirds of the kidney's detoxification function is damaged. Uric acid is also very important. Generally, it is above 350, which is relatively high. It may be related to a greasy diet, smoking and drinking. Long-term high uric acid can cause gout and accelerate the development of kidney disease.

3. Water loss in the body, such as fever, sweating, reduced water intake, polyuria leading to blood concentration, reduced renal blood flow, and increased creatinine. Fatigue, lack of rest and inattention to life details can also cause a certain range of increased blood creatinine.

4. People with abnormal urine, long-term hematuria and proteinuria will experience elevated creatinine levels without realizing it. Patients with kidney disease who take drugs that damage the kidneys without knowing it may experience an increase in creatinine, which may even be irreversible.

5. Patients with hypertension have unstable blood pressure and may have high creatinine levels. Patients with kidney disease may experience an increase in creatinine due to a relapse of the disease.
