Why do ear piercings stink?

Nowadays, more and more young people like to pierce their ears and wear earrings, which does not cost too much money and can make other people's eyes light up. Because a variety of beautiful stud earrings can indeed create an unexpected decorative effect. However, due to differences in everyone's skin, differences in medical facilities for earring piercing each time, and differences in the environment in each place. This results in different situations after ear piercing. Some people recover very quickly, but some are not so lucky and their ear holes start to stink. What is the reason for this?

Reasons why ear piercings stink:

1. Not cleaning in time

The reason why earrings become smelly after being worn for a long time is mainly because metabolic substances on the surface of the skin, sweat, and water and dust in the air mix into the ear holes, and under the body temperature, acetic acid is generated, causing the stink.

2. Sweat odor

Some people sweat easily in the hot summer. If the sweat on the head often flows to the earrings and is not cleaned in time, it will also cause the earrings to have a bad smell.

3. Ear pus

Earrings that have been worn for a long time may become smelly due to pus in the ear holes. The common reasons are that the ears are allergic to the earrings, and local ulcers and pus caused by damage to the skin of the ear holes, which cause the earrings to become smelly after being worn for a long time.

4. Plastic earrings of low quality

Some low-quality plastic earrings may rot and emit a foul odor if worn for a long time.

Ear piercing maintenance

(1) Do not get your ears wet during the first three days after piercing to prevent infection. If they get wet, use a hair dryer to dry them.

(2) Prepare a bottle of alcohol and a pack of cotton swabs. Use the cotton swabs dipped in alcohol to wipe the wound every morning and evening. On the one hand, it can disinfect the wound, and on the other hand, it can wipe off blood clots and other things to prevent the wound from being blocked. After piercing the ears, rotate the earrings every day to prevent the ear needles from sticking to the skin and promote wound healing. If there is inflammation or infection after piercing, if it is a mild inflammation, you can apply some alcohol or erythromycin ointment. If it is serious, go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

(3) After three days, you can replace the earrings with earrings that are suitable for maintaining your ear holes. Silver earrings can disinfect and kill bacteria, making them the best choice for maintaining new ear holes.

Many people get their ears pierced in order to wear accessories such as earrings. Indeed, earrings of various materials and shapes are beautiful in themselves. When worn on the ears, they can modify the ears and even the face shape. For example, long earrings can make a round face appear longer. Coordinating the colors with hair accessories or clothes is the icing on the cake.

(4) Clean your ear holes every day. Do not remove the nail within one month after replacing it. Wipe it 2-3 times a day with alcohol cotton or saline cotton balls, and wipe the front and back of the ear hole and the plastic stick repeatedly 7-8 times each time to fully displace the pus and bacteria in the ear hole.

Now everyone can rest assured, tell the people who need it quickly!
