Speaking of chewing gum, everyone must be familiar with it. Chewing gum is a common snack in our daily life. It is popular among people because of its sweet and sour taste and low price. However, it is particularly important to deal with chewing gum after chewing. If you throw it around, the gum may get on your clothes, which will greatly affect the appearance and be very inconvenient. So how do you remove chewing gum from clothes? Removal method: 1. Gasoline method 1. This is the simplest method. Drop gasoline on the area where the gum is stuck. Gasoline can dissolve chewing gum. 2. Wash your clothes according to the washing instructions to remove the gasoline smell from your clothes. 2. Freezing method 1. Fold the area of the clothing where the gum is stuck outward. 2. Place the clothing in a plastic bag, making sure that no gum is stuck to the bag. If you can't solve the problem of the gum stuck to the bag, then you can just put your clothes on top of the bag. 3. Seal the bag and place it in the freezer for a few hours until it is frozen solid. If you place your clothes in bags, make sure there is enough space so that the clothes cannot touch other items in the refrigerator, except, of course, the bag they are placed in. 4. Take the bag containing the clothes out of the refrigerator, open the bag and take out the clothes. Use a blunt knife or butter knife to quickly peel the gum off the clothing (avoiding piercing the clothing). Don't wait until the gum thaws; it is easier to remove while it is solid. If the gum thaws before you can remove it, put the clothing back in the freezer or use ice cubes. 3. Ironing method 1. Place the garment, gum-side down, on a piece of cardboard. 2. Adjust the iron to medium temperature. 3. Iron the garment until the gum is no longer stuck to the garment but has been transferred to the cardboard. Peanut Butter Method 1. Spread peanut butter on all the gum spots. Keep in mind that peanut butter has the potential to seep into your clothing and discolor it because it's a greasy substance. To prevent peanut butter from leaving stains, it's best to use a liquid stain remover to remove the oils left by the peanut butter on your clothes before washing them. 2. Apply as much peanut butter as possible to the area where the gum is stuck. Use a scraper to gently scrape along the area where the gum is stuck until the gum and peanut butter stick together and no longer stick to the clothes. 3. Wait until the gum softens and loses its stickiness. 4. Remove chewing gum from your clothes. 5. Vinegar method 1. You will need one cup of heated vinegar. 2. Take a toothbrush, dip it in hot vinegar, and rub the area where the gum is stuck. Be sure to do this quickly, as vinegar is most effective when hot. 3. Continue wiping with vinegar until the gum is removed. If desired, reheat the vinegar for later use. 4. Remove vinegar smell from clothes. 6. Laundry Detergent 1. Soak the area of clothing where the gum is stuck in detergent. 2. Use a toothbrush to break down the chewing gum. 3. Use a scraper to gently scrape off the gum. 4. Finally, use your fingernails to pick off any gum left on your clothes. 5. Wash the clothes in the washing machine. |
