Colorless to slightly yellow liquid with a slight aromatic odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents. Molecular weight 194.27, melting point 8°C, boiling point 112°C (decomposition), relative density (water = 1) 1.02, flash point 93°C, vapor pressure 0.044 kPa (50°C).

Main uses: used as chemical intermediates, polymerization initiators.

Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited at the work site. Keep away from fire and heat sources. It should be stored separately from prohibited substances and should not be mixed.

Safety warning signs should be set up in production and storage areas. Vibration, impact and friction are prohibited. Equipped with appropriate types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment.

4. Mechanized operations that are prone to combustion and explosion during the production process should be equipped with automatic alarm, automatic shutdown, automatic explosion relief, automatic rain shower and other safety automatic control devices; in addition to automatic control system monitoring, single-machine equipment on the automated production line should also be equipped with emergency control operating devices on site.
