1. Muscle spasms

Cramps are caused by excessive contraction of muscles due to cold stimulation, excessive mental stress, or excessive physical fatigue. It is most common in some long-term sports or swimming, and cramps are also likely to occur when warm-up exercises are not fully prepared. When cramps occur, the muscles become hard and painful, which is often impossible to relieve. Improper treatment can cause muscle damage.

2. Muscle damage

In addition to muscle contusion caused by direct external force, muscle injury is mainly caused by muscle strain due to indirect external force. After a muscle strain, the injured area will be painful, swollen, tender, cramped, and hard to the touch. The pain is aggravated by active contraction or passive lengthening of the injured muscle.

3. Abdominal stabbing pain

Flank pain occurs mainly in people who have stopped exercising for a while, are just starting to resume sports training, or are active only occasionally. It is generally believed that side abdominal pain is caused by hypoxia pain due to insufficient blood flow to the respiratory muscles during exercise. Vigorous exercise immediately after a meal or intestinal gas accumulation are also important causes of side abdominal pain.

4. Sudden Death

There are two types of sudden cardiac death: quiet type and exercise type. Among them, 81% of sudden deaths are silent, that is, caused by sudden coronary heart disease and pulmonary embolism. In addition to sudden death caused by heart disease, excessive exercise is also an important cause of sudden death. For example, when doing long-distance running, the cardiovascular system will be overwhelmed and the amount of blood and oxygen required will suddenly increase, while the supply will decrease relatively. In this state of blood and oxygen supply exceeding demand, the runner's heart will experience acute ischemia, followed by cardiac arrest and interruption of cerebral blood flow. When running, you must ensure the safety of the exercise. If you feel unwell while running, stop immediately and don't force yourself to keep going to avoid accidents.

5. Tennis elbow

This symptom is not limited to tennis, but can also be caused by other sports such as badminton and table tennis. Patients often feel pain on the outside of the elbow, reduced grip strength and poor force, and it is very difficult to hit a backhand ball. This is mainly caused by inflammation at the muscle tendon point. Acute pain after exercise should be treated with cold compresses and oral and topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. Chronic inflammation can be treated with physical therapy and the use of elbow braces.

6. Shoulder tendon strain

The main cause of this symptom is repeated overload movements that repeatedly stimulate and damage the tendons and muscles around the shoulder. The affected area will become inflamed, swollen and painful, and the pain will worsen with activity. Shoulder tendon injuries can be divided into acute injuries, chronic strains and tendon tears. Typical symptoms are local muscle swelling and pain in the shoulder after playing ball, as well as pain or even difficulty in slowly raising the arm. If the tendon is torn, the patient will feel weak. In the acute phase after injury, ice should be applied, the shoulder joint should be rested more and the amount of activity should be reduced. 7. Knee ligament and meniscus injury

The knee ligaments are very important in stabilizing the joint. Sprains and collisions during sports can easily cause ligament tears, resulting in symptoms such as joint instability, swelling and pain after activity. The menisci are two cartilage pads in the knee joint that act as the body's shock absorbers. After a meniscus tear, joint noises may occur, and the pain may worsen during squats. If injuries to the knee ligaments and meniscus are not discovered in time, they are very likely to be injured again during continued activities, which can lead to traumatic synovitis, wear of articular cartilage, and premature degeneration of the joint.

8. Fractures

There are two common types of fractures. One is a closed fracture with no wound or damage to the skin or flesh; the other is an open fracture where the tip of the bone penetrates the skin or flesh. For open fractures, do not reconcile, rub or massage with your hands, otherwise it will easily cause osteomyelitis. Use sterile gauze to bandage the affected area, stop bleeding, and then fix it with a flat board and rush to the hospital for treatment. If the fracture is in the upper limbs, the joint can be fixed to the trunk; if the fracture is in the lower limbs, the leg or foot can be straightened, fixed to the opposite limb and the patient can be rushed to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
