Pancreatitis classification

The pancreas is an organ that protects immunity, but it is also prone to inflammation. Once inflamed, you should pay attention to the classification of pancreatitis. Generally speaking, there are several types, including stenotic type and localized type, but most of them are chronic pancreatitis. Once this disease occurs, diarrhea often occurs, and if it is not treated in time, more complications will occur.

Classification of autoimmune pancreatitis: (1) Chronic pancreatitis of pancreatic duct stenosis type: The pancreas is irregular and significantly enlarged, and the main pancreatic duct in the pancreas becomes thinner. The patient will have chronic diffuse symptoms. Examination will reveal that the patient has positive autoantibodies and high fibrosis. Steroid hormone treatment has a significant therapeutic effect. (2) Localized pancreatic duct stenosis type chronic pancreatitis: The clinical symptoms are opposite to those of diffuse stenosis pancreatitis, but the clinical symptoms are related. Localized pancreatitis is a period of diffuse pancreatitis. Neoplastic changes may also occur clinically.

Diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis: In order to diagnose a disease clinically, in addition to observing clinical symptoms, examinations are also required. For autoimmune pancreatitis, the patients are generally elderly men, with painless jaundice, not accompanied by abdominal pain. Examination will show hyperamylasemia and elevated IgG levels, especially IgG4; autoantibodies are positive, and pancreatic exocrine function is reversibly impaired. B-ultrasound showed hypoechoic changes in pancreatic swelling. Histological examination will reveal fibrotic proliferation in patients with autoimmune pancreatitis. Autoimmune pancreatitis is effectively treated with corticosteroids.

The above experts have briefly summarized the clinical classification knowledge and diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis. Overeating is an important factor causing pancreatic disease. Clinically, patients should have a better understanding of the harm of the disease and receive timely treatment according to their specific symptoms, so as to improve their quality of life and prevent the occurrence of autoimmune pancreatitis.
