What is mite allergy?

Mites are a common organism in our daily life. They are very harmful and can cause many skin discomfort symptoms in patients, bringing great pressure to people's lives. Many people will experience skin allergies after being infected with mites, and have a stronger reaction to warm stimulation. Let’s take a look at what mite allergy is. I hope everyone can understand it.

Mite excrement contains nitrogen, an invisible chemical. In houses where there are many mites, some children will develop asthma. That is, they are allergic to mites.

Mite allergy is caused by lurking in clothing, mats, air conditioners, and carpets. Allergic reaction caused by the mites inside.

Indoor dust mites are one of the main causes of allergy sufferers. These tiny insects, invisible to the naked eye, are everywhere where people live. They mainly live on mattresses, carpets, pillows, cushions and other objects in the room, and feed on the shed epidermis of human skin. At the same time, their excrement is eventually swept into the air as dust and enters the human respiratory tract through breathing. Many people are allergic to mite excrement, which can especially cause discomfort in allergy patients, such as severe sneezing and difficulty breathing.

Prevention and treatment suggestions :

Common household infestations include : dust mites, scabies mites, demodectes, etc. For dust mites, the main methods currently available are: sun exposure, vacuuming, spraying, etc. Sun exposure requires good weather and a good place, and items need to be moved around. The vacuum cleaner needs to vacuum every location, which is also a lot of work. Spraying medicine is not easy to spray everywhere, and it has to be sprayed evenly. In case too much is sprayed in some places, the residual medicine cannot be dispersed in time, which will be very dangerous. If it is Demodex on the face, it will be more difficult to remove it because Demodex hides deep in the pores during the day and mates outside the hair follicles at night, often running to the bed and other places. It is difficult to take care of both ends with ordinary methods.

Prevention is the key in daily life. The following suggestions can be used for reference :

1. Keep the indoor environment clean. Clean frequently.

2. Make sure to keep the room ventilated regularly. Humid air is more likely to breed mites.

3. Try not to lay thick carpets in the bedroom.

4. It is important to keep the mattress clean.

5. Try to minimize the number of items that accumulate dust in the bedroom, such as heavy curtains, fabric tablecloths, etc.

6. When turning on the air conditioner, light an aromatherapy lamp with insect repellent scent to disinfect.
