Then, apply paraffin oil to the anal tube at the lower end of the enema device and slowly insert it along the anus for about 10 cm. Then, release the vascular clamp on the upper end and the liquid will slowly be injected into the intestine. If used for colonoscopy, a cleansing enema is used, and the amount of enema should be sufficient to ensure that all food residues in the intestines can be discharged.
