Trauma hemostatic medicine

Trauma hemostatic medicine

There are always bumps and bruises in daily life, and trauma is a very common phenomenon. However, some people tend to panic when the wound bleeds after suffering an trauma. If they do not have enough knowledge of stopping bleeding from trauma, they are often flustered and do not know how to deal with it. In fact, after bleeding from trauma, the first thing to do is to stop the bleeding, and stopping the bleeding usually requires the use of hemostatic drugs.

What are the hemostatic drugs for trauma?

1: There are many kinds of rapid hemostatic drugs for trauma. There are drugs used to treat bleeding from small abrasions, and there are also rapid hemostatic drugs for dealing with heavy bleeding from large wounds. For minor scratches and abrasions, first clean the wound with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution (hydrogen peroxide), and then apply appropriate amount of mercurochrome or iodine.

2: For slightly larger wounds and those with heavy bleeding, Yunnan Baiyao powder is a quick hemostatic drug, and watermelon frost spray is also fine. They both have very good hemostatic effects. Afterwards, clean the wound with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, and then apply mercurochrome or a proper amount of alcohol.

3: If the wound is larger and the bleeding is heavy, you will need to use a bandage to stop the bleeding, sprinkle Yunnan Baiyao powder on the wound, and then immediately go to the hospital for treatment.

4: Rapid hemostatic drugs for trauma include watermelon frost spray and Yunnan Baiyao powder. The correct way to treat wounds is to use disinfectants and antiseptics after stopping bleeding, such as 3% hydrogen peroxide solution (hydrogen peroxide) or 2% iodine tincture (iodine wine), 75% ethanol (alcohol). The materials needed include: sterilized cotton swabs, sterilized gauze, tourniquets, etc.

5: If there is bleeding due to external injury, and you have these medicines or materials with you, you can choose to use acupressure to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding is from the arteries of the head, neck and limbs, finger pressure can stop the bleeding quickly and effectively. It requires pressing the blood vessels with your fingers on the side of the bleeding wound close to the heart according to the direction of the artery to close the blood vessels and achieve a temporary hemostasis effect.

It is better to have quick hemostatic drugs at home to be prepared for any eventuality. However, in case of a larger wound, even if you have hemostatic drugs at home, you should go to the hospital and ask a professional doctor to see you after the rapid bleeding. Some larger wounds require sutures, and some require more stringent disinfection procedures. Professional treatment will recover quickly and is less likely to leave scars.

There are many types of hemostatic drugs, but no matter which one the patient chooses, the prerequisite is that he must understand the condition, because hemostatic drugs can be benign or warm, so you must choose according to your symptoms. If you don’t understand, you can go to the hospital for bandaging. However, basically the drugs are accompanied by instructions, and patients can use them according to the instructions.
