Four tips for effective urination after hemorrhoid surgery

Hemorrhoids trouble many people. Nowadays, many people are suffering from the pain brought by hemorrhoids, which has a serious impact on people's study, work and life. There are many factors that induce hemorrhoids, such as sitting for a long time while studying or working, not developing good eating habits, and spending time playing with mobile phones in the toilet. These are all factors that cause hemorrhoids. When it comes to the treatment of hemorrhoids, many patients with milder conditions take medication at home, but severe cases require surgical treatment. After surgical treatment of hemorrhoids, urination becomes a major problem.

1. Take a break

The patient should rest in bed for one day after the operation and lie flat as much as possible, avoiding sitting or standing for long periods of time to prevent bleeding. Also, do not have a bowel movement or take a bath on the first day after the operation. Patients should avoid strenuous exercise, such as cycling, within 15 days after surgery.

2. Precautions for bathing

Patients should be careful when taking a bath in daily life and not apply soap to the wound within one month. After taking a shower, you should use pp powder to wash your anus for 15-20 minutes. After it dries, insert the hemorrhoidal suppository and apply hemorrhoidal ointment around the anus, once after defecation and before going to bed.

3. Take medication on time

Patients should take 20 grams of anti-inflammatory and hemostatic drugs every day, and promptly cooperate with the injection of high-efficiency broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory injections. Routine anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out in the first five days after surgery. For patients with severe inflammation, seven days of routine anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out without interruption. This helps maintain the effective concentration of the drug and prevent wound inflammation, erosion, and infection.

4. Pay attention to your stool

When defecating, patients should not squat for too long or use too much force to avoid bleeding. If the stool is dry or has not been defecated for 3 days, the patient should go to the hospital for a bowel movement to avoid worsening pain.

Many people suffer from hemorrhoids in life, mainly because there are many reasons that lead to hemorrhoids. Therefore, we should take measures to prevent hemorrhoids in daily life. We should pay attention to not taking too long to defecate and not exerting too much force. We should develop a good habit of not reading books, newspapers or mobile phones when going to the toilet, and eat less spicy and irritating foods.
