What are some tips for ladies to open red wine corks

Many girls find it very difficult to open wine corks. They simply cannot open it and it takes a lot of effort. Sometimes in the process they may directly damage their fingers or the surface of their skin, or even cause the cork to break and cannot be opened. In fact, it is not that difficult to open wine corks. As long as you find the right method, you can use a knife to scratch it before opening it. This way you don't need to use so much effort when opening it.

The correct way to open a bottle is:

The first step is to use a knife to cut open the rubber cap that seals the bottle mouth along the circular protrusion at the bottle mouth. Be careful to turn your hands, not the bottle. If it is old wine, there will be normal sediment at the bottom of the bottle, and turning the bottle will make the sediment float up. Be very careful when handling tin bottle caps, as they often leave razor-sharp edges that can be inconvenient if you accidentally touch them with your hands. Wines produced in some countries will have opening tapes on the bottle mouths. In that case, it is easy, just tear off the tape.

The second step is to use a table cloth to remove the dust from the bottle mouth. If you find mold on the top of the cork, don't panic. A little mold is normal and doesn't mean the wine is spoiled. Just wipe the neck of the bottle with a clean cloth. If it is an old bottle with a lead cap, be especially careful, because a small amount of leaked wine will react with the lead to form toxic lead salts.

In the third step, be sure to insert the tip of the screw drill into the middle of the cork (if it is inserted at the edge, it may easily cause the cork to break or wood fragments to fall into the wine), and then drill into the cork in a clockwise direction. If you are using a butterfly-shaped wine opener, when the screw is drilled in, the handles on both sides will rise. When they reach the top, press both handles down at the same time and the cork will come out. If you are using a professional "Waiter's Friend" screwdriver, be careful not to drill the entire screw into the cork, but leave a ring, because drilling all the way in will cause cork fragments to fall into the wine. After drilling into the cork, place the metal fulcrum on the bottle mouth, hold the bottle shoulder with one hand and the handle of the screwdriver with the other hand, lift it up, and the cork will come out. If it is a long wooden cork, you can drill another ring into it when it is halfway up and then lift it up.

The fourth step is to wipe the mouth of the bottle with a napkin after scooping out the wine, and pour out about 30 ml to test the wine to determine whether the wine is normal or not. If you are in a restaurant, you should first pour it for the guest to try, and you also need to put the pulled cork on a small plate and hand it to the guest to see. If it is old wine, you need to change the bottle in advance, otherwise the dregs will pour into the wine glass and affect your enjoyment.

There are many types of corkscrews to choose from for removing corks. Get the best, simplest ones possible, and avoid those with lots of gadgets. A good corkscrew should be able to remove the cork cleanly with minimal effort without damaging it. It is best to use a long corkscrew with a pointed top and an open spiral. Avoid using hard or sharp corkscrews, as they tend not to be sharp enough on new corks and may shatter old, brittle corks. It is usually safer to use a well-designed waiter's companion or screw puller with a long spiral wire.

If this still doesn't work or you really don't have the tools, the dumbest way is to use two chopsticks. After removing the bottle cap, place the chopsticks on the cork head and press the chopsticks hard to push the cork into the bottle.
