Yinzhihuang is a precious Chinese herbal medicine and the main ingredient of Yinzhihuang injection. Its common effects are clearing heat, detoxifying, promoting dampness and relieving jaundice. It has been widely used in clinical practice. Although the injection is very effective, it can cause many adverse reactions if used improperly. Mild reactions include gastrointestinal reactions such as diarrhea; others may cause chills and palpitations; the most serious ones may cause anaphylactic shock.

1. Adverse reactions of Yinzhihuang injection

1. Intravenous drip or intramuscular injection of this product may occasionally cause severe serum sickness-like reaction and anaphylactic shock.

2. Occasionally allergic reactions: gastrointestinal reactions; drug fever, chills, and palpitations.

3. Rare cases of laryngeal edema, one-time aggravation of jaundice, and high fever reaction.

2. Contraindications of Yinzhihuang Injection

(1) Patients with a history of allergic reaction or severe adverse reaction to this product are contraindicated.

(2) It is contraindicated for use by those with allergic constitution or family history of allergy to this product.

(3) It is forbidden to use in newborns and infants.

3. Precautions for Yinzhihuang Injection

1. This product is mainly suitable for patients with Yang jaundice syndrome with greater heat than dampness. It is not suitable for patients with jaundice due to cold-dampness and yin-jaundice, or patients with sallow complexion caused by deficiency-jaundice. Use with caution in patients with coronary heart disease. Pregnant women should avoid use. Children's medication should be strictly calculated based on body weight in kilograms. Before the first use, ask the patient in detail whether he has a history of allergies.

2. During the medication period, the diet should be light and easily digestible, avoid alcohol, spicy and greasy foods.

3. Avoid anger, depression and work.

4. This product cannot be infused at the same time as other drugs, and it is strictly forbidden to mix and use it with other drugs. When Yinzhihuang Injection is used interactively with other drugs, there should be a gap of more than 4 hours between them.

5. This product is a pure Chinese medicine preparation. Improper storage may affect the product quality. Do not use the medicine if it appears turbid, precipitated, discolored, or if the bottle is leaking or cracked. If the product becomes turbid after being diluted with glucose injection, it should not be used.

6. This product is incompatible with calcium gluconate injection, erythromycin, tetracycline, huisuling injection, calcium preparations, and acidic drugs, especially it cannot be used in combination with penicillin-type highly sensitive drugs. This product should not be used in combination with aminoglycosides, cephalosporins, and compound aminopyrine. It should also be used with caution when used in combination with other antibiotics, vitamin K1, famoxetine, and reduced glutathione.

7. Be sure to strengthen medication supervision and safety monitoring throughout the entire process, and closely observe medication reactions, especially in the first 30 minutes. If any abnormality is found, stop taking the medicine immediately.

8. It should be used with caution in special groups such as the elderly, children, patients with severe heart disease, abnormal liver and kidney function, and patients using it for the first time.

9. When given intravenously, it must be diluted before use. Strictly control the infusion rate and dosage, and pay attention to the patient's blood pressure. The recommended drip rate is less than 40 drops/minute, and is generally controlled at 15 to 30 drops/minute. For the first use of the drug, it is advisable to use a small dose and slow drip.

10. Yinzhihuang Injection is used in combination with 5% glucose injection and 10% glucose injection. It is not advisable to add other drugs. It should be prepared and used first and used up within 2 hours.

11. It is prohibited to administer the drug by intravenous injection.

12. When using the drug clinically, it is recommended to start with a low dose and slowly drip it in according to the patient's age, condition, physical signs, etc. One course of treatment should not be longer than 2 weeks. Stop taking medication when the disease is cured and avoid long-term medication. For long-term use, there should be a certain time interval between each course of treatment.
