When a urinary disease is suspected, the doctor will ask you to do a routine test, which is a routine urine test. Hospitals all have their own urine analyzers. The data are usually more accurate, with smaller errors, and are widely used in clinical practice. We may not be able to understand the results of routine urine tests. Sometimes there will be a plus sign before a certain test item, or the value may be too high or too low, which makes everyone confused. The editor is not talking about this here, but would like to explain to you what indicators are mainly looked at in urine routine during our routine physical examinations, and what does a high red blood cell count in the common urine routine mean? What are the main indicators of urine routine Even after the above-mentioned puffer fish poisoning, a routine urine test is still required after emergency treatment. We know that a routine urine test generally contains the following indicators: red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC), protein (PRO), urobilinogen (URO), bilirubin (BIL), ketone bodies (KET), nitrite (NIT), glucose (GLU), specific gravity (SG), and acidity and alkalinity (pH). Hematuria refers to ≥ 3 red blood cells per high-power microscopic field in centrifuged urine, or more than 1 red blood cell count in non-centrifuged urine or more than 100,000 in 1-hour urine, or more than 500,000 in 12-hour urine sediment, all of which indicate an abnormal increase in red blood cells in the urine and are common urinary system symptoms. The causes include urinary tract inflammation, tuberculosis, stones or tumors, trauma, drugs, etc., which have very different effects on the body. In mild cases, only an increase in red blood cells is found under the microscope, which is called microscopic hematuria; in severe cases, the appearance is like meat washing water or contains blood clots, which is called gross hematuria. Usually, when there is 1 mL of blood per liter of urine, it can be seen with the naked eye, and the urine appears red or like meat washing water. After discovering red urine, the first thing to do is to distinguish whether it is true hematuria or false hematuria. Some drugs can cause red urine, such as aminopyrine, phenytoin sodium, rifampicin, phenol red, etc.; it needs to be distinguished from true hematuria. In recent years, there has been an increasing trend of hematuria without obvious accompanying symptoms, most of which are glomerular hematuria, which has attracted widespread attention and research. What does the plus sign for occult blood in urine routine tests mean? Warm reminder: During urine routine tests, pregnant women may find that some items on their test sheets are followed by a “+” sign, and sometimes there is more than one “+” sign. This is because the normal test results for many items are negative, generally represented by (-), while positive results are represented by a “+” sign. The more “+” signs there are, the more the value exceeds the standard. Interpretation of urine routine report data: 1. In the routine examination items, the indicators of protein, sugar and ketone bodies in urine, and microscopic examination of red blood cells and white blood cells are all negative under normal circumstances. If the urine protein is negative, it indicates the possibility of gestational hypertension and kidney disease; 2. Positive test results for ketone bodies indicate that the pregnant woman may have gestational diabetes or severe vomiting, eclampsia, digestive and absorption disorders due to pregnancy reactions, and further examination is required; 3. If red blood cells and white blood cells are found, it indicates that the pregnant woman may have a urinary tract infection and must be taken seriously; if the red blood cells and white blood cells are detected to be excessive, and the pregnant woman also has symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency, it is very likely caused by a urinary tract infection or urethral tumor, and must be treated in time. |
