2. Be careful not to let the cork fly around to avoid hurting people. When opening the bottle, press the cork with your thumb first, then point the bottle mouth towards a direction where no one is around before opening the bottle. Find the circular part of the iron ring, which is the opening. Remove the tin foil packaging from the bottle mouth and loosen the round opening of the iron ring. The purpose of this iron ring is to prevent the cork from popping out.

3. Press the cork with the index finger and thumb of one hand, hold the bottle with the other hand and rotate it. The air pressure in the bottle will slowly push the cork up. This can usually be covered with a napkin so that if there is a problem the cork doesn't fly around.

4. While holding the cork tightly with one hand to prevent it from suddenly jumping out, use the other hand to slowly rotate the bottle. When the cork is loose, be sure to tilt the bottle at an angle, tilting the bottle slightly outward, but not towards people. Use your palm to control the cork like a brake, and push the cork out slowly until you hear a "pop" sound when the bottle is opened. When opening a bottle of champagne, it is taboo to make a loud "pop" sound. Be careful to control the sound of the cork being pulled out/popped out; the quieter the better.

What is the difference between sparkling wine and champagne?

Champagne is generally expensive, while sparkling wine is more affordable and suitable for mass consumption.

Sparkling wine and champagne are actually wines made using the same method. Due to international regulations, only high-quality sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France is called champagne. The same type of wine produced in other regions can only be called sparkling wine.

In fact, there are many sparkling wines that are just as good as Champagne. Since champagne and sparkling wine are stored in the cool environment of the winery or winery cellar (the cellar is kept at a constant temperature of 12℃~14℃), they require contact between the wine and yeast to increase the complexity and layering of the wine. Generally, non-vintage champagne is aged in contact with yeast for at least 1 year; vintage wine is usually aged for 3 to 5 years, and some can be aged for more than 10 years. The sparkling wine on the market is the finished wine after disgorging, and there is no need for aging. Therefore, champagne and sparkling wine are not suitable for aging for too long after purchase. Long-term storage will not only fail to enhance its aroma and taste, but may also cause it to lose its colorful and beautiful bubbles.

In short, when opening a bottle of sparkling wine, you must be natural and keep a beautiful smile no matter how much effort it takes. This will create a warm, cozy and romantic atmosphere.
