What causes buttock pain?

Many friends feel pain in their skin and bones after sitting for a long time, and worry that they may have some disease. There are many causes of buttock pain, such as primary sciatica, secondary sciatica, etc. If anyone feels that the pain in the skin is severe and persistent, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time.

Sciatica and femoral pain are often caused by lumbar disc herniation. At present, the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is generally conservative, interventional, and surgical. It is recommended to first treat conservatively, and surgery is the last treatment method if conservative treatment is possible. Generally, conservative treatments such as massage, traction, acupuncture, physical therapy, taking Chinese medicine, and practicing exercises are recommended.

Sciatica is divided into two major categories, namely primary sciatica and secondary sciatica, and the causes of the two are different.

1. Primary sciatica

Primary sciatica is mainly caused by direct damage to the sciatic nerve due to infection or poisoning, also known as sciatica, which is rare in clinical practice. It often occurs simultaneously with myositis and fibromyositis. Cold and dampness may be the triggering factors.

2. Secondary sciatica

Secondary sciatica is pain caused by irritation, compression or damage of the sciatic nerve pathway by lesions in adjacent tissues. Most of the sciatica seen clinically is secondary sciatica.

Other causes

Trauma: Trauma is the main cause of femoral head necrosis. Trauma leads to femoral head necrosis, such as external impact causing femoral neck fracture, hip dislocation, hip sprain and contusion, etc.

Osteoporosis: Due to changes in the internal structure of bone tissue, partial degeneration of trabeculae and obstruction of blood circulation in bones, it is also the cause of femoral head necrosis.

Obesity: Because obesity increases the pressure on the hip bone, obese people will suffer from various diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and also femoral head necrosis. So for the sake of health, you need to lose weight appropriately.

Symptoms: Sciatica often occurs after trauma, physical labor or cold, or recurs due to the above reasons. Most cases present with unilateral pain, but some present with bilateral pain. Typical sciatica presents as pain in one side of the waist and buttocks, radiating to the posterior thigh, posterior and lateral side of the calf, and lateral side of the foot. Walking and changing body position can aggravate the pain, and raising the affected leg is more painful when lying down.
