When it comes to AIDS, many people may feel scared. AIDS, also known as HIV, is mainly transmitted through blood, mother-to-child transmission, and sexual transmission. Once AIDS occurs in the human body, the patient will have a high fever and decreased vision for more than a month. The cure rate of this disease is very low, and many patients have lost their lives because of it. Here are some symptoms of AIDS. 1. Acute phase It usually occurs about 2-4 weeks after initial HIV infection. The main clinical manifestations are fever, sore throat, night sweats, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, joint pain, lymphadenopathy and neurological symptoms. Most patients have mild clinical symptoms, which last for 1-3 weeks before being relieved. HIV-RNA and P24 antigen can be detected in the blood during this period, while HIV antibodies only appear several weeks after infection. The CD4+ T lymphocyte count decreases transiently, and the CD4/CD8 ratio may be inverted. 2. AIDS stage It is the final stage of HIV infection. The patient's CD4+ T lymphocyte count decreased significantly, mostly <200/mm3, and the HIV plasma viral load increased significantly. The main clinical manifestations of this stage are HIV-related symptoms, various opportunistic infections and tumors. 3. HIV-related symptoms The main symptoms are fever, night sweats, diarrhea lasting for more than one month; weight loss of more than 10%. Some patients show neuropsychiatric symptoms such as memory loss, apathy, personality changes, headaches, epilepsy and dementia. In addition, persistent systemic lymphadenopathy may also occur, with the following characteristics: ① Lymph nodes are swollen in two or more sites other than the groin; ② Lymph node diameter is ≥ 1 cm, without tenderness or adhesion; ③ Duration is more than 3 months. 4. Common symptoms of HIV-related opportunistic infections and tumors Fever, night sweats, swollen lymph nodes, cough, sputum, hemoptysis, dyspnea, headache, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, dysphagia, decreased appetite, oral leukoplakia and ulcers, various rashes, decreased vision, blindness, dementia, epilepsy, limb paralysis, weight loss, anemia, incontinence, urinary retention, intestinal obstruction, etc. Causes 1. Sexual Behavior If you have many sexual partners. Experts say that the earlier one starts sexual life, the greater the chance of infection. And the more frequently one changes sexual partners, the more likely one is to develop the disease. In addition, unhygienic sexual life can easily lead to some diseases, so it is easy to be infected and prone to this disease. Some men who like to go to nightclubs, or women who often visit prostitutes, are high-risk groups. 2. Low immunity If the immune system is weakened or if there are some immune diseases, this disease may easily occur. Many people have poor physical fitness, so their ability to resist external pathogens is very weak. If repairs are made, the deterioration will be rapid. If the body is in a state of fatigue for a long time, it will lead to a decrease in immunity. 3. Bad habits Many people like to smoke and drink, which are very harmful to the human body, especially alcoholism, which can harm various systems. People who are under great psychological pressure will suffer from this disease. This is caused by frequent tension and anxiety. If this continues, they will be prone to the threat of this disease. Some people are prone to this disease because they are influenced by society, take drugs, or inject drugs. |
