Thigh tinea is a common and frequently occurring disease. It is a lesion caused by fungal infection, with symptoms including redness, peeling, and itching of the skin. Sometimes the itching is aggravated by friction between clothes and skin, which brings great pain to the patient and affects his study and work. Let’s take a closer look at the symptoms of ringworm on the thigh. Symptoms of ringworm on thighs: 1. Timely treatment: Many people who have tinea cruris will apply some ointment at home. If it is a light ointment, they will not care about it anymore. As a result, the condition becomes more and more serious, the area expands, and even forms difficult-to-treat eczema. It is best to use medication under the guidance of a doctor. 2. If it is erythema, papules, bumps, and itching, you can apply some antifungal ointment, such as terbinafine hydrochloride cream; it is generally sold in pharmacies; 3. If it is tinea cruris, if you scratch it severely, there will be local discharge and severe itching. You cannot use ointment for this. You can use compound phellodendron chinense solution and terbinafine hydrochloride solution. Use two potions at the same time; 4. If the skin lesions are relatively large and itchy, I will generally prescribe some oral medications such as Baixuan Xiatare Tablets and Loratadine Tablets to reduce swelling and relieve itching, promote the improvement of skin lesions, and it is not difficult to solve; 5. Note that the treatment of tinea cruris must be long enough. Most people can get better in about a week, but the topical medicine must be applied for at least 20 days; this is the only way to kill all the fungi; the medicine cannot be stopped in the middle, and must be used continuously as prescribed; 6. In addition, tinea cruris is a local inflammation caused by fungal infection; it must be treated with antifungal drugs; while general dermatological topical drugs such as Pi Yan Ping and Pi Kang Wang contain hormones, which can reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms, but cannot kill fungi, so discontinuation of use will cause the disease to relapse and make the infection spread more seriously; due to repeated application of drugs, many people have darkened the skin on the inner thigh (as shown in the following figure); this is a side effect of hormones; there is no need to pay attention to it, it will slowly get better after a period of time; 7. The fungus of tinea cruris is mostly caused by athlete's foot or onychomycosis, which must be treated at the same time; especially onychomycosis, which is an important "production base" of fungi; it can be said that most patients with tinea cruris are accompanied by onychomycosis; in addition, socks and underwear must be washed separately; 8. The inner thighs are prone to moisture and sweating, which is a good "culture medium" for fungi. You can change your cotton underwear and use bamboo mats to allow better ventilation and heat dissipation. Pay attention to cleaning the inner thighs every day. This area secretes too much sebum, and washing with soap is best. It is best to wash it once a day, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of tinea cruris, eczema and the like. |
