What causes liver tumors?

The harm of liver tumors is very serious, so early prevention of the disease should be done. In this regard, let's take a look at the causes of liver tumors so as to prevent them.

Liver tumor is a malignant tumor that occurs in the liver. In traditional medicine, this disease may be included in the symptoms of fat gas, Fuliang, Xiben, and liver accumulation. About 100,000 people are diagnosed with liver tumors every year in my country, which is a high-incidence area for liver tumors. Among them, Qidong, Jiangsu and Fusui, Guangxi have the highest incidence rates. It is more common in middle-aged men, and the male-to-female ratio in high-incidence areas is 3:1. So, what are the causes of liver tumors?

Regarding the causes of liver tumors, relevant experts pointed out that there are two aspects to the causes of liver tumors. One is external factors: such as being affected by damp heat or evil toxins, eating unclean food, and internal obstruction of damp heat. The "Inner Canon of Medicine" says: "Evil is in the liver, and there is pain under the ribs." Modern medicine believes that the onset of liver tumors is closely related to environmental factors such as hepatitis viruses, aflatoxin and water quality. On the other hand, there are internal factors: such as internal injuries caused by the seven emotions, which lead to qi stagnation and blood stasis, forming accumulation. The "Inner Canon of Medicine" says: "Joy and anger are uncomfortable... accumulation has been left." Another example is that when the positive energy is damaged, the evil energy will take advantage of the opportunity to enter. Modern medicine believes that an important factor in the development of liver tumors is individual susceptibility. If an individual has certain defects in genetics, under the influence of external factors, it may lead to the activation of liver tumor genes and form liver tumors. This is consistent with the Chinese medicine belief that the deficiency of the positive energy is prone to accumulation.

Traditional Chinese medicine explains the causes of liver tumors as follows: stagnation of liver qi causes blood stasis in the meridians over time. Stagnation and blockage can cause pain in the ribs that is like a stab and is fixed and hard under the ribs. Stagnation of liver qi can cause poor appetite, nausea, and abdominal distension.

The above is an introduction to the causes of liver tumors. Experts remind us that liver tumors are very harmful, so early prevention is very important.
