If people walk for too long every day, their heels will be broken. At this time, you should take care of the broken skin and drink more water. If you feel some pain, you should appropriately reduce the time and frequency of walking. You can use hydrogen peroxide to apply it, and you can also use iodine tincture to apply to the affected area when necessary. 2. Apply more medicine - This is wrong. In the past, wounds were often treated with hydrogen peroxide, iodine, mercurochrome, and gentian violet to make them look "bright and colorful". However, it is now believed that these disinfectants will destroy granulation tissue and reduce the activity of white blood cells. Disinfection is necessary, but it must be done quickly. It is best to rinse off these disinfectants with saline solution immediately. The best disinfectant for wounds is sterile water, so it is best to have a small volume of normal saline solution at home. When you encounter an emergency wound, rinse it with a large amount of normal saline solution. A large bottle of normal saline solution can also be used, but do not leave it opened for too long, as it may breed bacteria. Because disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide and iodine are used by doctors to disinfect uninjured skin for surgery. If these irritating disinfectants are used on an injury, it may leave unsightly scars. Many people are used to pouring hydrogen peroxide on wounds to disinfect them. When they see the overflowing white foam, they also feel a sense of pleasure that "all the bacteria are killed". In fact, "any medicine that may cause irritation to the eyes is not suitable for use on wounds" because wounds cannot withstand any irritation. Excessive irritation will only inhibit wound healing and cause ugly scars, while red and purple medicine may deepen the scars. If you don’t want to leave scars, be sure to use scar removal silicone sheets to moisturize and apply pressure in the early stages of scarring to soften the tissue and avoid scars. 6. If you have symptoms of infection (redness, swelling, discharge, fever), seek medical attention immediately. Treatment of severed limbs due to major trauma When encountering severed limbs or fingers, it is necessary not only to protect the wound surface, but also to refrigerate the severed limb and send it to the hospital in a timely manner, and to try to create conditions for the successful replantation of the severed limb. The correct way to do it is: wrap the severed limbs and fingers with sterilized gauze (or clean gauze), put them in a plastic or rubber bag without holes, tie the bag tightly, and apply ice cubes around it to freeze it. Never apply disinfectant on the severed limb or soak it in alcohol or other disinfectants. Doing so will cause the tissue cells to coagulate and deteriorate, losing the chance of replantation and having the opposite effect. It is also wrong to soak severed limbs and fingers in various hypertonic or hypotonic solutions. The former causes cells to shrink, while the latter causes cells to rupture. Therefore, we must remain calm and follow the correct method mentioned above to refrigerate the severed limb and send it to the hospital as quickly as possible. |
